National foreword This document (EN 15663:2017) has been prepared by Working Group WG 2 “Structural requirements” (Secretariat: DIN, Germany) of Subcommittee SC 2 “Rolling stock products” (Secretariat: NEN, Netherlands) of Technical Committee CEN/TC 256 “Railway appli
5、cations” (Secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was DIN-Normenausschuss Fahrweg und Schienenfahrzeuge (DIN Standards Committee Railway), Working Committee NA 087-00-04 AA “Strength/Crashworthiness”. This standard is based on the English reference version

Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 15663:2012-05 as follows: a) clauses and text have been generally editorially reorganized; b) 3.2 “Abbreviations” has been included; c) a new numbering for vehicle categories has been included in 4.2; d) 4.6 “Additional or alternative mass definitions a
7、nd payload states” has been included; e) in Clause 6, new requirements for standing areas in gangways between vehicles have been included; f) in Clauses 6 and 7, a new treatment of wheelchair loading has been included; g) permitted variations in standing passenger loadings have been redefined; h) ne
8、w recommendations for the determination of the centre of gravity have been included in 7.1; i) new Annex B for application of EN 15663 reference masses in other European Standards has been included; j) new Annex C for application of EN 15663:2009 reference masses in TSI has been included. This European Standard provides such a set of vehicle re
23、ference masses and describes how each is derived. DIN EN 15663:2017-09 EN 15663:2017 (E) 5 1 Scope This European Standard defines a set of reference masses for specifying the requirements for the design, testing, acceptance, marking, delivery and operation of rail vehicles. The reference masses defi
