30、r residential buildings) of the Normenausschuss Heiz- und Raumlufttechnik (NHRS Heating and Ventilation Technology Standards Committee). European Standards DIN EN 13141-1, DIN EN 13141-4, DIN EN 13141-5, DIN EN 13141-7, DIN EN 13141-8, DIN EN 13141-9 and DIN EN 13141-10 describe performance tests fo

31、r components/products and ventilation equipment for ventilation systems of dwellings. However, these standards do not include all the criteria specified in Germany for fan-assisted ventilation systems. The criteria described in this standard are intended to supplement the aforesaid European Standard

32、s in order to cover all the requirements specified in Germany concerning components/products and ventilation equipment for fan-assisted ventilation systems for dwellings. This standard describes supplementary requirements and performance tests based on the minimum requirements which components/produ

33、cts and ventilation equipment for fan-assisted ventilation systems for dwellings have to meet and which enable hygienic, energy-efficient and/or noise-reduced ventilation system designs to be achieved. Components/products and ventilation equipment meeting the specified hygienic and/or energy-efficie

34、ncy requirements can be designated as “H” and/or “E” devices. Components/products and ventilation equipment which have noise-reduction characteristics tested according to uniform criteria and for which the respective characteristics are stated can be designated as “S” devices. This does not constitu

35、te a separate quality requirement, but it is one of the prerequisites for appropriate planning of a ventilation system. Proposals for the revision of the relevant European Standards have been submitted. This document also describes requirements and performance tests for non-return dampers in the ext

36、ract air connectors of ventilation units, which are needed to prevent backflow in systems where several ventilation units are connected to a common main duct. DIN 4719:2009-07 7 1 Scope This standard applies to components/products and ventilation equipment for fan-assisted ventilation systems for dw

37、ellings. This standard also specifies requirements and performance tests for the nationally applicable classes of components/products and ventilation equipment where these are not laid down in the relevant European Standards. The requirements and performance tests necessary for hygienic and/or energ

38、y-efficient ventilation system designs are specified in this standard. Acoustical criteria are specified on the basis of European Standards. Requirements and performance tests are also defined for the non-return dampers that are needed for ventilation units when these are to be operated together wit

39、h other ventilation units connected to a common main duct. Requirement and performance criteria for ventilation units that are to be operated together with indoor air combustion heating appliances are also defined, and a description is given of the requirements and performance criteria for “class F

40、devices” to be used if the necessary safety devices are to be included in controlling externally mounted air terminal devices. This standard specifies the product information and identification of components/products and ventilation units required for the planning, construction and commissioning of
