20、G.6.1.1.2 When tested in accordance with the FT4 test in CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 2556, the cable shall not exhibit a char length in excess of 1.5 m.6.1.2 FT4-ST1 flame test6.1.2.1 The FT4-ST1 flame test specified in Clause 6.1.2.2 shall apply to cables marked OFNR, OFCR, OFCG, and OFNG.6.1.2.2 When tested

21、 in accordance with the requirements of ASTM D5424 and the ST1 limited smoke test in CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 2556, the completed cable shall not have a char length exceeding 1.5 m or smoke release exceeding the requirements of the FT4-ST1 classification.6.1.3 FT6 flame and smoke test 6.1.3.1 The FT6 flame

22、 and smoke test specified in Clause 6.1.3.2 shall apply to cables marked OFNP and OFCP.6.1.3.2 Cables marked FT6 in accordance with the requirements of Clause 7.1(f) shall comply with the requirements of the FT6 horizontal flame and smoke test in CSA C22.2 No. 0.3.6.2 Thermal aging of jacketsWhen te

23、sted in an air oven in accordance with the physical properties test in CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 2556, the retention of tensile strength and elongation of the specimen shall be at least 65% for thermoplastic and at least 50% for thermoset.The oven temperature during the accelerated aging and the duration th

25、 specimen of finished cable shall be conditioned at a temperature of 18 1 C for a period of 4 h and, while still at this temperature, wound three close turns around a cylindrical mandrel having a diameter ten times the cable diameter. The jacket shall show no visible cracks when examined under norma

26、l or corrected-to-normal vision.The cold bend test shall be performed in accordance with the cold bend test in CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 2556.6.4 Continuity of conductive membersConductive members shall be tested in accordance with the continuity test in CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 2556. The conductive members of eac

27、h finished length shall exhibit continuity.6.5 Weather (sunlight) resistance optionalWhen tested in accordance with the weather (sunlight) resistance test in CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 2556, the jacket shall retain 80% of its unconditioned tensile strength and elongation values following exposure for 1000 h

28、in a weatherometer.7 Markings7.1 Marking on productsFinished cable shall be legibly and durably surface-marked at a maximum interval of 1 m to show(a) manufacturers identification (name, type designation, trademark, or colour threads);(b) type designation;(c) flame classification FT4 for cables meet

29、ing the requirements of Clause 6.1.1;(d) flame classification FT4-ST1 for cables meeting the requirements of Clause 6.1.2;(e) flame classification FT6 for cables meeting the requirements of Clause 6.1.3;(f) temperature rating (if above 60 C); and(g) “SR” or “SUN RES” or “SUNLIGHT RESISTANT” if the c

30、able meets the requirements of Clause 6.5.7.2 Package markingEach reel or carton shall be identified with(a) manufacturers identification (name or trademark);(b) type designation; and(c) year and month of manufacture (a code may be used).7.3 Optional marking The following additional information may

47、e1.1This Standard applies to non-conductive optical fiber cable and conductive optical fiber cable intended to be installed indoors in non-hazardous locations in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.1.2This Standard does not cover hybrid optical fiber cables whose construction (exclu

48、ding the optical fiber component) is covered in other applicable standards of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part II.1.3In CSA Standards, “shall” is used to express a requirement, i.e., a provision that the user is obliged to satisfy in order to comply with the standard; “should” is used to express a
