WiththedevelopmentoffuturemobilecommunicationsystemstowardsUMTS/IMT2000thebottleneckof narrowbanddatacommunicationmightfade.Duetoitsmodularst

25、ructure,theGATSframeworkand applicationsarepreparedforthatduetoitsnetworkindependence.Thesameholdsforemerging technologiesforpositioningwhichtodayisalmostexclusivelybasedonGPS.
