7、t 2-49: Particular requirements for commercial electric hot cupboards, which is an adoption, with Canadian deviations, of the identically titled IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Standard 60335-2-49 (third edition, 2000-03), currently available from IEC in English only. It supersedes t

8、he previous edition, published in 1994 as CANKSA-E335-2-49 (adopted CEVIEC 335-2-49:1988, including Amendment 1 :1990). This Standard was reviewed for Canadian adoption by the CSA Technical Committee on International Standards under the jurisdiction of the Strategic Resource Group, and has been form

9、ally approved by the Technical Committee. A list of the members of the Technical Committee is available upon request. This Standard has been approved as a National Standard of Canada by the Standards Council of Canada. Interpretations: The Strategic Resource Group has provided the following directio

CSA International provides certification services for manufacturers who, under lic

15、ense from CSA, wish to use the appropriate registered CSA Marks on certain products of their manufacture to indicate conformity with CSA Standards. CSA Certification for a number of products is provided in the interest of maintaining agreed-upon standards of quality, performance, interchangeability

16、and/or safety, as appropriate. Where applicable, certification may form the basis for acceptance by inspection authorities responsible for enforcement of regulations. Where feasible, programs will be developed for additional products for which certification is desired by producers, consumers, or oth

40、ty of electrically operated hot cupboards not intended for household use, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances connected between one phase and neutral, and 480 V for other appliances. Hot cupboards with heated tops, heated display cases, heated crockery dispenser

41、s, and heated shelves and tables are also within the scope of this standard. NOTE 1 These appliances are used, for example, in restaurants, canteens, hospitals and similar commercial enterprises. The electrical part of appliances making use of other forms of energy is also within the scope of this s

42、tandard. So far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by these types of appliances. NOTE 2 Attention is drawn to the fact that - for appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary; - for appliances

43、 intended to be used in tropical countries, special requirements may be necessary; - in many countries additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities, the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour, the national water supply authorities and similar author

44、ities; - for appliances intended to be used outdoors, additional requirements may be necessary. This standard does not apply to - appliances designed exclusively for industrial purposes; - appliances intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosi

45、ve or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour or gas); - continuous process appliances for the mass production of food; - bains-marie (IEC 60335250). 2 Definitions This clause of part 1 is applicable except as follows. 2.2.4 Addition: NOTE The rated power input is the sum of the power inputs of all the i

46、ndividual elements in the appliance which can be on at one time; where there are several such combinations possible, that giving the highest power input is used in determining the rated power input. -6- 60335-2-49 0 IEC:2000(E) 2.2.9 Replacement: normal operation: Operation of the appliance under th

47、e following conditions: Appliances are operated empty and with any controls intended to be operated by the user set at the maximum. If the appliance cannot be operated empty, then the manufacturers instructions are taken into account. Doors, covers or lids, if any, are placed in their intended posit

48、ions. Motors incorporated in the appliance are operated in the intended manner under the most severe conditions which can be expected in normal use taking into account the manufacturers instructions. 2.2.101 hot cupboard an appliance which is used for maintaining the temperature of hot food and for

49、the warming of crockery 2.2.102 heated top the top surface of a hot cupboard, which is designed to maintain the required temperature. It may be heated indirectly by the hot cupboard heating elements or directly by separate heating elements 2.2.103 heated display case a hot cupboard in which food is displayed, the heated food being served from the display 2.2.104 heated crockery dispenser an appliance designed specifically for the storage, warming and dispensing of plates, etc. 2.2.105 installation wall a special fixed construction containing supply facilities for appliances installed in
