Vehicle Body6.1 Identification If an accessibility s
15、ymbol is fitted (see Figure 1), it shall comply with the following:(a) it shall be a minimum size of 100 100 mm (4 4 in); and(b) the symbol shall be the international symbol of access shown in CSA Standard CAN/CSA-B651.6.2 Rear Bumpers A rear bumper(s) shall be furnished and attached directly to the
16、 chassis frame with provisions forremoval. It shall extend beyond the rearmost part of the body surface at least 25 mm (1 in) measured atthe floor line. It shall be of sufficient strength to permit the vehicle to be pushed by another vehicle onlevel ground at rated GVW without major permanent distor
17、tion.6.3 Entrances6.3.1 Ambulatory Entrance Doors 6.3.1.1There shall be an ambulatory entrance door on the right side of the vehicle. Where only one mobility aidentrance is provided, it shall not be on the left side of the vehicle.6.3.1.2On a split-type door, if one section opens inward and the othe
18、r opens outward, the front section shallopen outward.6.3.1.3Vertical closing edges of a split- or jack-knife-type door shall be equipped with at least a total of 25 mm(1 in) of flexible material between the two door leaves to minimize the possibility of injury to fingers.6.3.1.4The ambulatory entran
19、ce door(s) shall be provided with a means to prevent unintended closing duringloading or unloading of passengers. 6.3.1.5Where ambulatory entrance door openings are less than 1930 mm (76 in) in height, they shall bepadded at the top interior edge with material meeting the requirements of Clause 6.10
20、.3.) 6.3.1.6The minimum dimensions of the ambulatory entrance door opening shall be a clear(a) horizontal opening of at least 580 mm (23 in) at the widest point and 400 mm (16 in) at thenarrowest point; and(b) vertical opening of at least (i) 1.12 m (44 in) on vehicles having a GVWR of 2700 kg (5940
21、 lb) or less, where the ambulatorypassenger seat is located directly adjacent to the ambulatory entrance door;(ii) 1.40 m (56 in) on vehicles having a GVWR greater than 2700 kg (5940 lb), but less than or equalto 4536 kg (10 000 lb); andD409-02 Canadian Standards AssociationOctober 20048 (Replaces p
22、. 8, March 2002)(iii) 1.83 m (72 in) on vehicles having a GVWR greater than 4536 kg (10 000 lb). 6.3.2 Steps6.3.2.1The static coefficient of friction of step covering material when measured in accordance withASTM Standard D 2047, under dry conditions, shall be a minimum of 0.5.6.3.2.2There shall be
23、a contrasting colour stripe, not less than 38 mm (1.5 in) and not more than 75 mm (3 in)wide, on the leading edge of the horizontal surface of each step and the floor surface at the stepentrance.6.3.2.3Except for school buses, the dimensions of steps at the ambulatory entrance shall be as follows:(a
24、) the height of the first step from ground level a maximum of 380 mm (15 in);(b) the height of steps in the vehicle a maximum of 230 mm (9 in);(c) the variation in the height of steps in the vehicle a maximum of 25 mm (1 in);(d) the depth of steps (front to back) a minimum of 215 mm (8.5 in); and(e)
