8、dard has been prepared by Technical Committee EPL/84 and is the English language version of EN 60268-12:1995 Sound system equipment Part 12: Application of connectors for broadcast and similar use (incorporating amendment A2:1995), published by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardiza

9、tion (CENELEC), and supersedes Harmonziation Document HD 483.12 S2:1992. It was derived by CENELEC from IEC 268-12:1987 and its amendment 1:1991 and amendment 2:1994, published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). As a consequence of implementing the European Standard this British

10、 Standard is renumbered as BSEN 60268-12 and any reference to BS 6480-12 should be read as a reference to BS EN 60268-12. However, agreement has been given to retain the cross-reference of this standard as Part 12 of the BS 6840 series for ease of reference in relation to other Parts of the series.

36、 sound system components for broadcast and similar use and gives the applications and also the contact arrangement and contact designation for these connectors. 2 Object In sound systems for broadcast and similar use it is often necessary to connect pieces of equipment from different manufacturers a

37、nd even from various countries in order to achieve desired objectives. 3 General For safety considerations, reference is required to IEC Publication 65: Safety Requirements for Mains Operated Electronic and Related Apparatus for Household and Similar General Use. NOTE 1The preferred electrical match
