Theguidingprinciplesofcurvesaregiveninthisstandardastheyapplytoswitchesandcrossings.Switchesand crossingsarenormallydesign

26、edwithoutdifferentialcant;particularrequirementsshallbespecified. Inordertomaintainsafeandcontinuoussupportandguidanceofwheels,certainrulesoftangencyareimposed. Speedandradiusarethenrelatedtolateralacceleration.Cantdeficiencyisderivedfromthis.Switchesand crossingsarecharacterisedbychangesinlateralac
