16、ermining the most appropriate fire protection strategy for abuilding as a whole.Information about this documentThis is a full revision of the standard, and introduces the following principalchanges: reduction from five risk categories to four, of which three are addressed inthis edition of the stand
17、ard; reinstatement of detection performance tests; update of detection technologies, including the classification of aspiratingsystems; update of structural fire protection provisions, taking account of thepublication of BS 9999:2008.Product certification/inspection/testing. Users of this British St
18、andard are advisedto consider the desirability of third-party certification/inspection/testing ofproducts and systems installed to achieve conformity with this British Standard.Appropriate conformity attestation arrangements are described in the relevantproduct standards. Users seeking assistance in
19、 identifying appropriate conformityassessment bodies or schemes may ask BSI to forward their enquiries to therelevant association.Hazard warningsWARNING. This British Standard calls for the use of substances and/orprocedures that can be injurious to health if adequate precautions are nottaken. It re
