3、n care experts Joe (China) : While adults who appear in advertisements might know the details, including materials, the manufacturing process and the service life of the products that they promote, children who are under 10 might not completely grasp such information. In most cases, they dont even a
4、ctually know what the products are for. They say and do what the promoters pay them to say and do. Therefore, its quite doubtful whether the products these child stars speak for are reliable or not. Lee (the US): The ban aims to protect minors from being negatively impacted by commercial activities
5、and I think it is good. When a child rises to fame by acting in movies or in televised entertainment programs, he or she will be able to capitalize on his or her reputation. Too much entertainment engagement may be more than a child can bear, psychologically and physically. Even if they are talented
6、 in acting, their talent should not be overused. Otherwise, they may end up paying for this lost time when they grow up. Media workers AlexfromAmerica (the US) : Im more libertarian about the idea. Dont restrict advertising. We dont need more laws on this subject. If an advertisement “crosses the li
7、ne“ in the way it uses children, the market will shame that company to stop using the advertisement. The law is unnecessary here. David (Japan) : The minors and their parents should be given the right to decide whether to do the job after fully analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of being an
8、advertising endorser. Otherwise, instead of protecting the minors interests, the law will restrict their freedom and rights. Bill (the UK) : Endorsing a product does not necessarily violate the minors rights and interests. Its thus wrong to forbid all such commercial activities for children. An endo
9、rsement means that the endorser recommends a product to the public in his or her own name. In this sense, children can still appear in advertisements without recommending a product in their own names. Even if the product is not as good as is advertised, they dont need to take responsibilities for it
10、. Davidjames28 (China) : One unintended result of this would be the sufferings of most childrens magazines, websites and TV channels. And children are always the best choice in whether cultural or commercial promotion. And apart from childrens media, think about the childrens organizations, activiti

I couldnt imagine the scene in which a parent-like adult tells children what to read or what to choose. Its much too patriarchal. I dont mean there shouldnt be rules on children advertisements. 16、home mom. In the beginning, it was truly rough for me to shift from being a workaholic to staying at home. Yet, I did not want my child to grow up with both parents at work. So after discussing it with my husband, we decided that I would be the one to stay at home. Now, our daughter is soon to be 3
17、years old, and she has an amazing personality. Its not for everyone but it is very rewarding in the long haul. Celina (the US) : Being a stay-at-home mom isnt always easy, but it is worth it! I wouldnt trade staying at home with my kids for anything in the world. Being there with my children means t
18、hey are getting the exact love and care I want them to have. We do not have a lot of money, but weve sacrificed a lot to make it possible. I am a stay-at-home mom and the main reason why I stay at home with my children is that it makes me happy to take care of them and see them grow up right before my eyes. I want to be there every time they need me and I love. I dont think working
20、 is best for me because I would not be able to concentrate and be productive at work thinking of my children. Everyone is different so whether you are a stay-at-home mom or a working mom, you provide the need of your child according to what you think is best for your family. The important thing is y
21、oure happy and wont regret your decision now and forever. Working moms Cynthia (the US) : Sometimes I think we shouldnt give up on our careers. And sometimes Im jealous of the moms who get to stay at home or at least work part time. Im the breadwinner so that will never be an option for me. I have t
