An interpretation applies either to the Edition and Addenda in effect on the date of issuance of the interpretation or the Edition and Addenda s

PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTING INTERPRETATIONS Upon request, the B16 Committee will render an interpretation of any requirement of this Standard. Reply (2): No. This is a misprint that has been corrected in ASMWANSI B16.34-1988. The correct value is 11.87 in. Metric dimensions are no longer used in

34、 B16.34. Question (3): In ANSI B 16.34-1981, is it a requirement that valve seat diameters be equal to (or pater than) the inside diameters of Annex A? Reply: No. The purpose of Annex F, see F1 .l, is to record the rules that were used to determine the tabulated pressure-temperature ratings. The only pressure-temperature ratings recognized for Special Class valves are those in Table 2. The required hydrostatic shell test pressure, for all valves, is as described
