The group operated as a SectionalCommittee (later redesignated as a Standards Committee) under the authorization of theAmerica
15、n Engineering Standards Committee (subsequently named American Standards Associ-ation, United States of America Standards Institute, and now, American National StandardsInstitute). Sponsors for the group were The American Society of Mechanical Engineers,Manufacturers Standardization Society of the V
16、alve however, they should not contain proprietary names orinformation.Requests that are not in this format will be rewritten in this format by the Committeeprior to being answered, which may inadvertently change the intent of the original request.ASME procedures provide for reconsideration of any in

20、O 125 PSI (SIZES NPS1/2THROUGH NPS 2)1 SCOPE1.1 GeneralThis Standard covers requirements for manually oper-ated metallic valves sizes NPS12through NPS 2, foroutdoor installation as gas shut-off valves at the endof the gas service line and before the gas regulatorand meter where the designated gauge
21、pressure of thegas piping system does not exceed 125 psi (8.6 bar).The Standard applies to valves operated in a temperatureenvironment between 20F and 150F (29C and66C).1.2 DesignThis Standard sets forth the minimum capabilities,characteristics, and properties, which a valve at thetime of manufactur
22、e must possess, in order to beconsidered suitable for use in gas piping systems.Details of design and manufacture (other than thosestated in this Standard, including such design andproduction tests that will produce a valve that willhave the required capabilities to meet this Standard)remain the res
