10、or broadloom carpet, modular tile carpet, and entrance carpet.Adhere to UFC 1-300-02 Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) Format Standard when editing this guide specification or preparing new project specification sections. Edit this guide specification for project specific requirements b
11、y adding, deleting, or revising text. For bracketed items, choose applicable items(s) or insert appropriate information.Remove information and requirements not required in respective project, whether or not brackets are present.Comments, suggestions and recommended changes for this guide specificati
12、on are welcome and should be submitted as a Criteria Change Request (CCR).*PART 1 GENERAL*NOTE: Carpet containing recovered material is designated in 40 CFR 247.12 and subsequent Recovered Materials Advisory Notices (RMAN) as an affirmative procurement item. Designers should give preference to produ
13、cts containing recovered material when price, performance, and availability meet project requirements.Options to consider include:a. Use of polyester carpet fiber face, polyethylene terephthalate resin. (A justification is required when polyester fiber is specified in lieu of polyethylene terephthal
