1、PPP-D-729E AMENDMENT- 1 December 30. 1983 FEDERAL SPECIFICATION DRUMS, SHIPPING AND STORAGE, STEEL, 55-GALLON (208 LITERS) This amendment, which form a part of Federal Specification PPP-D-729E, dated April 22, 1977, is approved by the Assistant Administrator, Office of Federal Supply and Services, G

2、eneral Services Administration, for the use of all Federal agencies. PAGE 2 2.1, under Federal Standards: Delete “FED-STD-101 in its entirety.“ PAGE 4 3.4, line 8, after “inch“: Add “nominal*. PAGE 5 3.4.3: Delete in its entirety and substitute: “3.4.3 Capacity and outage. The rated capacity shall b

3、e 55 gallons (208 L). Actual capacity for types I, II and IV, including the convex heads shall be not less than 57.2 gallons (216.5 L) (4 percent outage) nor greater than 57.75 gallons (218.6 L) (5 percent outage), when tested as specified in 4.4.2. VII, actual capacity shall be not less than 56.1 g

4、allons (212.4 L) (2 percent outage) and not more than 56.6 gallons (214.3 L) (2.9 percent outage).“ For the types V, VI and PAGE 8 3.6.1, title: Delete “phosphatizing“ and substitute “corrosive inhibitor“. 6、ormaldehyded type resin. In the case of containers calling for baked interior-linings, commercial exterior paint using a modified polyester resin may be used instead of the normal alkyd coating.
