2、pment, and Engineering Center and is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. Delete “XM255E1” and substitute “M255A1” wherever it appears in this document. 3、 follows: “3.3.10 Environmental protector pushoff test. The environmental protector shall withstand a push-off test of 4.0 lbs. minimum and 17.0 lbs. maximum. The push-off test fixture shall simulate the umbilical lead connector with the push-off force applied through the fixture to the closed end o

9、ical cable connector, where the environmental protector fits on, shall have 0.368 + 0.001 inch large outside diameter, 0.273 + 0.001 inch small outside diameter, and 0.157+ 0.001 inch width of the large outside diameter. The surface shall have a 32 micro-inch finish all over. A steady load shall be

10、applied with a hemispherical (180 + 0.005 inch radius) plunger against the inside surface of the environmental protector.
