This specification covers the loading, assembling and packing for one type of warhead section designated as Warhead Section GM Practice XM276 with live FLSC and dummy inert bombs: P/Ns 12598664, 69C7448, or SK 476. Materials shall be in accordance with the applicable drawings and specifications. shall comply with all requirements specified on Drawir.9 12913864, all associated drawings, and with all r

16、equirements specified in applicable specifications. 3.3 Stability of bas and filler assembly. The foaming filler in the bag assembly shall expand and achieve a uniformly firm set within the specified time after removal from cold temperature storage. 3.2 Components and assemblies. All parts and assemblies shall be fabricated, loaded and assembled in a thorough, workmanlike manner. They shall be free

18、 of burrs, sharp edges, cracks, dirt, grease, rust, and other foreign matter. The cleaning method used shall not be injurious to any part nor shall the parts be contaminated by the cleaning agents. Exterior surface coatings shall be continuous; however, a few light scratches not exposing base materi

19、al may be permitted. All required marking and stamping shall be neat and sharply defined. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements

20、(examinations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government res

21、erves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. All items shall meet all requirements of section 3 and 5. The inspect

22、ion set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system of quality program. inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for accep

23、tance comply with all requirements of the contract. Sampling inspection, as part of manufacturing operations, is an acceptable practice to ascertain conformance to requirements, however, this does not authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit th

24、e Government to accept defective material. The inspection 0 requirements specified herein are

25、classified as follows: a. Quality conformance inspection (see 4.4) 4.3 Quality conformance inspection. 4.3.1 Inspection lot formation. Inspection lots shall comply with lot formation provisions of MIL-A-48078 and the following cri teria: a. Metal parts assemblies of one lot interfix number from one

26、manufacturer. b. Warhead fuzes of one lot interfix number from one - manufacturer. b 4.3.2 Examination and test. Except as noted, the examinations and tests listed in the following subparagraphs shall be performed 100% on inspection lots (see 4.3.1) of the components or assemblies designated in the

One (1) bag and filler assembly shall be selected from each group of twenty-five (25) or less bag and filler assemblies produced. The filler batch f

47、or each group shall be homogeneous and mixed at one time. Groups over twenty-five (25) shall be inspected by selecting one sample from each group of twenty-five (25) or portion thereof produced. If a bag and filler assembly fails to meet the applicable requirements, the filler batch represented by t

48、hat assembly shall be rejected. The test shall be performed as specified in 4.4.1 using equipment in accordance with 4.3.4. 4.3.3.2 Density andcompressive strenqth of polyurethang fillers (see Dwqs. 9331772 and 933177411 One (1) part from each lot of nose and aft fillers shall be selected for test. The density tests (non-destructive) shall be conducted on the compressive strength specimens and shall be taken from the part after removal of the fill
