SCOPE 1.1 This specification covers the quality assurance provisions and special requirements not covered by the drawings for metal parts and assemblies of the M261 and M267 Multipurpose Submuni tion (MPSM) Warheads. 2. 10、3.1. Materials. Materials shall be in accordance with the applicable drawings and specifications. e 3.2 Components and assemblies. The components and assemblies shall camply with all requirements specified on Drawings 9334119, Q334J.27, 9334128, 9334129, 9334133., 9334135, and 9334141 and associated

11、 drawings and with all requirements specified in applicable specifications and standards. 3.3 First, article inspection. This specification makes , Drovision for first article inspection. Requirements for submission of first article samples by the contractor shall be as specified in the contract. I

When a multiple cavity mold is used in the fabrication o plastic or die cast components, a min

13、imum of five (5) canponents from each mold cavity shall be included in the first article sample. The components shall bear a mark which identifies the ccmponent with the individual cavity . 3.4 Piorkmanshig 3.4.1 Mechanical. Unless otherwise specified on the drawing, all parts and assemblies shall b

14、e free from burrs, chips, sharp edges, cracks, unblended radii, surface defects, dirt, grease, rust, porosity , warpsge, burn marks , checks, blisters, excess flash, corrosion products and other foreign matter . The cleaning method used shall not be injurious to any part nor shall the parts be conta

15、minated by the cleaning agents. Surface coating shall be continuous except or a few slight scratches not exposing base material. The loading and assembly operations shall be performed in a thorough, workmanlike manner consistent with the best practices of the industry. All required markings shall k

16、neat and legible . 3.4.2 Electrical. Cable assemblies and wires shall bz dressed in such manner as to prevent pinching or chafing of the wire insulation. Ends of wires shall bs free from flux, chips, dirt, grease, rust or foreign material. 4. ;ZUALITY ASSUAANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for i ns

17、prction . Unless otherwise suecified in tne contract. the contractor is resmnsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein . Except as otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspzc

18、tion requirements specified herein, unless disappproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to preacriixd requirements. Unless otherwi

In place of normal sampling and inspection associa

38、ted with the Classification of Defects a sample of five (5) parts as molded frm each cavity shall be fully inspected dimensionally to qualify a new or reworked cavity for use in production. The molded parts shall carry the individual cavity identification. As a control of each cavity during producti

39、on, the above quantity of prts from each cavity shall be inspected for at least the defects listed in ,%ragraphs 4.4.2.2, 4.4.2.3, 4.4.2.7 and 4.4.2.8, after the continuous production of each 5,000 parts or at the end of each week, whichever occurs first. Of the sample, one (1) part shall be the las

40、t produced, I any defective parts are found during qualification of the cavity, the cavity producing the defective part will not be used in production. If any defective parts are found when inspection is performed for the control of the cavity, the cavity producing the defective part shall be remove

41、d fran production. Further, that portion of production since the last control check shall be returned to the contractor for inspection for each typs of defect according to MIL-STD-105, using the AQLs detailed in the classification of defects. All cavities removed from production because of some faul

42、t may, after reworking, be returned to production providing they pass the qualification test above. The umbilical lead shall withstand a uull of 5.0 lbs. minimum without displacing the cable stop eyelet: cone assembly that does not comply with the dra

The warhead parts and assemblies shall be packaged and marked in accordance with MIL-STD-1169. 5.2 Packing and marking. The packaged parts and assemblies shall be packed and marked in accordance with MIL-S

45、TD-1169. 5.3 Ammunition data cards. Data card information shall be as specified in MIL-STD-1167. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use. The assemblies and components covered by this specification are intended for use as part of the 2.75 Inch Folding Fin Aerial Rocket System. 6.2 Ordering data. See MIL-A-48078t
