If the n

10、umber of defective tool sets in any sample exceeds the acceptance number of the appropriate. sampling plan of Standard MIGSTD-105, the lot represented by the sample shall be rejected. Rejected lots may be resubmitted provided the contractor has repaired or re- moved all nonconforming tool-sets. 5. P

11、REPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Preservation. 5.1.1 Domestic and oversea.-All ferrous metal surfaces shall be cleaned with dry- cleaning solvent conforming to Specification P-S-661, thoroughly dried, and immediately coated with preservative specified in Specifi- cation MILP-116, as follows: Chisels, scr

12、ew drivers, squares, ham- ?mers, and similar items (metal parts only) shall be coated with type P-1 preservative. Pliers, nippers, wrenches, saw blades, and similar items shall be coated with type P-6 preservative ; and wrapped separately, or like items together, with greaseproof barrier- . material

13、, grade A, type I, conforming to Specification JAN-B-181. 5.2 Packaging. 5.2.1 Domestic and oversea.-All tools, in- cluding those requiring no preservation, shall be individually packaged in a standard com- mercial folding or Set-up paperboard carton conforming to Specification JAN-P-120 or JAN-P-13

14、3 or wrapped in single-face corru- gated fiberboard, properly identified, and placed in the tool box, Any void space within the tool box shall be filled wjth shredded wax paper. 15、omestic shipment ar,d storage. -The tool box shall be closed and locked, and the keys wired to the handle of one end with not less than 15-gage annealed wire. The keys shall be further protected by tape, type II, grade C, conforming to Specification JAK- P-127, not less -than 1 inch wide, spirally w

16、ound in such manner as to entirely cover the keys and the wire. The taped keys shall be placed against the handle to provide ade- quate protection. Each tool box shall be strapped with two flat steel straps, mini- mum y8 inch by 0.020 inch, type I, class A, conforming to Specification QQ-S-781, .wit

17、h metal edge protectors placed around the top, sides, and bottom of each tool box. The flat straps shall be placed approximately 5 inches from each end of the tool box. Each tool box shall be individually packed in a wood-cleated- fiberboard, wood-cleated-plywood, nailed wood, wirebound wood, corrug

18、ated fiber or solid fiber box conforming to Specification 631, LLL-B-631 or LLGB-636, respectively. The gross weight of wood boxes shall not exceed approximately 200 pounds. The gross weight of fiberboard boxes shall be subject to the limitation of the box specification. NN-B-591, NN-B-601, NN-B-621

19、, NN-B- 5.3.2 For oversea shipment.-Unless other- wise specified in the contract or order, the subject commodity prepared as described in 5.3.1, except that each tool box shall be in- dividually packed in a cleated-plywood, nailed wood, wirebound, fiberboard, or fiber- Iined wood box conforming to S

20、pecification P-108 or JAN-P-138, respectively. The gross weight of wood boxes shall not exceed ap- proximately 150 pounds ; of fiberboard boxes approximately 70 pounds, JAN-P-105, JAN-P-10 6, MIGB-107, JAN- MIL-T-1 1 154A 5.3.2.1 Contents shall be inclosed within a sealed waterproof bag, or its equi
