As a result of a Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) action, standards for all military communications are now being publ
6、ished in a MIL-STD-188 series of docunients. The MIL-STD-188 series i s now subdi vi ded into a MIL-STD-188-1 O0 series covering common standards for tactical and 1 ong-haul communicatfons, a MIL-STD-188-200 series covering standards for tactical communications only, and a MIL-STD-188-300 series cov
7、ering standards for 1 onq-haul communications only. Emphasis is being placed on developing common standards for tactical and 1 ong-haul communications publ ished in the MIL-STD-188-1 O0 series. 6. lhi s document contains standardized methods of measurement for sel ected communications Systems perfor
8、mance parameter requirements that are specified in the MIL-STD-188 series of documents for both long-haul and tactical conimunications s.ystems. standards and desi n objectives (DOS).
