This specification cove

2、rs an improved position and azimuth determining system, which is an inertial surveying system that may be Global Positioning System (GPS) aided. 1.2 Requirements. Threshold (T) requirements are the minimum acceptable requirements. Objective (O) requirements indicate desired performance and must be m

3、et when specified in the solicitation (6.2). Unless specifically identified as (O), all requirements are (T). 2 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 General. The control and display interface shall be visible and accessible for hands-free operation (except for dat

22、a entry and selection procedures) by both the vehicle driver and IPADS operator (not necessarily at the same time). 3.4.4.2 Display parameters. IPADS shall display: a. Survey control point identifier. b. Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) easting, northing and grid zone. c. Latitude and longitude.

23、d. Military Grid Reference System (MGRS) (see Appendix B) (O). e. Altitude. f. Mark identifier. g. Azimuth. h. Distance. i. Angle. j. Ellipsoid display name. k. Semi-major axis, flattening or semi-minor axis indicator, and semi-minor axis or inverse flattening of user defined ellipsoids. l. Datum di

Survey control point identifier, horizontal position, altitude, mark identifier, azimuth, distance from last initialization or update point (if displaying survey in progress), le

28、ngth of OL (if displaying saved survey data), ellipsoid name, and datum name shall be displayed on a single page. 3.4.4.2.3 Display field selection. At any time, IPADS shall allow the operator to select display of: a. Geodetic (T), UTM (T), or MGRS (O) horizontal coordinates. b. UTM coordinates with

29、 respect to the normal or adjacent zone, when horizontal position is within 40 Km of a UTM zone boundary. c. Grid or geodetic (true) azimuth. d. Azimuth in mils; degrees, minutes and seconds; or decimal degrees. e. User ellipsoid inverse flattening or semi-minor axis. f. Geodetic coordinates in deci

30、mal degrees or degrees, minutes, and seconds. 3.4.4.2.4 Horizontal position display. Horizontal position shall be displayed with respect to the selected horizontal datum. 3.4.4.2.5 UTM zone. a. UTM coordinates shall be displayed with respect to standard, 6 wide longitude zones throughout the UTM cov

31、erage area. b. Within 40 Km of a UTM zone boundary, IPADS shall accept initialization or update UTM coordinates with respect to the normal UTM zone, for that location, or the adjacent (extended) UTM zone. IPADS shall display UTM coordinates with respect to the input zone until the operator changes t

32、he zone (3.4.4.2.3.b.) or a normal or extended zone boundary is crossed. c. The first time a normal UTM zone boundary is crossed from west to east during a mission, IPADS shall prompt the operator to select whether display of UTM coordinates shall remain with respect to the previous zone or shall be

33、 with respect to the new zone. For subsequent crossings of the same zone boundary, IPADS shall display UTM coordinates with respect to the previously selected zone for the current side of the boundary. d. The first time IPADS crosses into an extended zone from east to west during a mission, IPADS sh

34、all prompt the operator to select whether display of UTM coordinates shall remain with respect to the current (normal) zone or shall be with respect to the adjacent (extended) zone. For subsequent crossings of the same extended zone boundary, IPADS shall display UTM coordinates with respect to the p

35、reviously selected zone for the current side of the boundary. e. When further than 40 Km from a UTM zone boundary, IPADS shall display UTM coordinates with respect to the normal UTM zone for that location. 3.4.4.2.6 Vertical datum. Altitude shall be displayed with respect to the local vertical (msl)

36、 datum when no GPS aiding or relative GPS aiding is used. Altitude shall be displayed with respect to the WGS 84 geoid when GPS-centric aiding is used. 37、MIL-PRF-52955D 15 3.4.4.3 Operator control functions and data entry. IPADS shall allow the operator to: a. Turn IPADS on and off. b. Read out survey data from the previous mission, if not previously cleared by the operator. c. Perform “hot start” initialization (3.3.5.2.) d. Initialize and update IP

38、ADS position using GPS data, if available. e. Select high or lower order operating mode. f. Enter and exit transport mode. g. Select and use survey control point data provided by the host system for position initialization and update. h. Select the vehicle reference or offset reference for position

39、and azimuth transfer. i. Establish the relative location of the vehicle reference for different host vehicles. j. Enter distance for offset position and azimuth transfer. k. Enter angle for offset azimuth transfer. l. Enter date and time. m. Initialize date and time to GPS UTC time, within two secon

40、ds, when GPS time is available and an FSS-SS-0011-ICD Time Message has not been received from the host system. n. Enter survey control point identifiers. If the operator does not enter a survey control point identifier, IPADS shall populate the field with an unambiguous identifier. o. At any time, s

41、elect ellipsoid and horizontal datum from preprogrammed table of all datums listed in NIMA TR8350.2 without requiring reinitialization or a position update. p. At any time, select ellipsoid from preprogrammed table of all ellipsoids listed in NIMA TR8350.2 and enter shift parameters for two user-def

42、ined horizontal datums without requiring reinitialization or a position update. q. At any time, enter ellipsoid and shift parameters for two user-defined horizontal datums without requiring reinitialization or a position update. r. At any time, initialize and update horizontal position coordinates a

43、nd altitude. s. Enter mark identifiers. If the operator does not enter a mark identifier, IPADS shall populate the field with an unambiguous identifier. t. Establish the position of a survey control point, except when accuracy for the selected survey order can not be maintained. u. Associate up to f

44、our azimuth marks with a survey control point v. Establish the azimuth of an orienting line, except when accuracy for the selected survey order can not be maintained. w. Save survey control point data. x. Display current IPADS position and heading. y. Display current GPS position, if available, with

45、 EHE, and EVE. GPS position shall be with respect to the drivers position transfer interface (3.4.5.a.) Send data for any saved survey control point to the host system. ee. Send data for all saved survey control points t

47、o the host system. ff. Adjust control and display lighting intensity. gg. Turn the audible alarm on and off. hh. Select GPS aiding mode from: No GPS Aiding, GPS Centric Aiding, and GPS Relative Aiding. GPS Centric Aiding shall be the power on default. ii. Select use of All Y-code or Mixed Y and P-co

48、de GPS signals. All Y-code shall be the power-on default. jj. Zeroize GPS cryptovariables. kk. Zeroize GPS cryptovariables and all classified GPS data (typically called “Emergency Zeroization). 3.4.4.4 Status indications. IPADS shall indicate to the operator: a. Operational status (BIT) of all LRUs.

49、 b. Status of vehicle power and backup power. c. Operational status (connected/disconnected) of serial data link with host system. d. Requirements to stop the vehicle or remain stationary, both audibly and visually. e. Travel time until a stop is required. f. Time remaining to complete alignment. g. When a UTM zone boundary or extended zone boundary has been crossed, both audibly and visually. h. Whe
