10、452C 13 9999906 05l10409 3 = 2.2 Wer of precedence. - In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the reference specifications cited herein, the text of this specification shall take precedence. 3.0 REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Material . - Materials shall be in accordance with applica

11、ble drawings and specifications. 3.2 Metal pa rts CO moonent s. - The metal parts components shall comply with all requirements specified on applicable drawings and specifications referenced herein. 3.3 Hvdrostat ic test. - The body tubing shall withstand the application of a minimum hydrostatic pre

12、ssure without rupture or indication of flaws, as evidenced by leaks, and without permanent deformation beyond drawing requirements. 3.4 WorkmanshiD. - All parts shall be free of burrs, chips, sharp edges, cracks, unblended radii, surface defects, dirt, grease, rust, corrosion products and other fore

13、ign matter. The cleaning method shall not be injurious to any part nor shall the parts be contaminated by the cleaning agent. All required markings shall be legible. 3.5 First article inspection . - This specification makes provisions for first article inspection. Requirements for submission of firs

14、t article samples by the contractor shall be as specified in the contract. 4.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS III 4.1 Responsibility for inspection and standard quality assurance provisions. - Unless otherwise specified herein or in the contract, the provisions of MIL-A-48078 shall apply. 4.2 c lassif

15、ication of inspect ion. - The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First Article Inspection b. Quality Conformance Inspection 4.3 First a rt icle inspect ion. 4.3.1 Submission. - The contractor shall submit a first article sample for evaluation in accordance with 4.

16、3.2. The sample shall consist of parts which have been produced by the contractor or furnished by a supplier which have been manufactured using the same production processes, procedures, and equipment which will be used in fulfilling the contract. All parts and materials shall be obtained from the s

17、ame source of supply as will be used in regular production. A first article sample, or portion thereof, as directed by the contracting officer, shall also be submitted whenever there is a lapse in production for a period in excess of 90 days, or whenever a change occurs in manufacturing processes, m

The first article sample shall

19、 consist of ten each of every component. Whenever castings, mold or die cast parts are involved, five parts minimum from each cavity are required when there are two or more cavities. 4.3.2 Uspections to be performed. - See MIL-A-48078 and Table I specified herein. 4.3.3 Reject ion . - See MIL-A-4807

20、8. 4.4 Quality CO nformance inspect ion. 4.4.1 InsDect ion lot formation. - Inspection lots shall comply with lot provisions of MIL-A-48078. 4.4.2 Examination. - Unless otherwise specified in the classification of defects and tests tables, sampling plans for major and minor defects shall be in accor

21、dance with MIL-STD-105, Inspection Level II. 38、ied in the “Paragraph Reference/Inspection Method“ column in the tables starting with paragraph 4.4.2.1, and the test method paragraphs (see 4.5) . The contractor shall submit for approval, inspection equipment designs in accordance with the terms of the contract. See Section 6 of MIL-A-48078, and S

39、ection 6.3 herein. 4.5 Test methods a nd Drocedu res. 4.5.1 Hvdrostatic test. - Prior to machining, the primer tubing d shall be tested for not less than five seconds at the minimum hydrostatic pressure as calculated by the following formula: ? 1.8 st P= D Where : P = tests pressure in pounds per sq

40、uare inch (psi) S = minimum specified annealed material yield strength, psi t = specified minimum wall thickness in inches D = specified maximum outside diameter in inches Failure to meet the specified requirements shall be cause for rejection. Acceptable units shall be marked with an “H“. If the pr

41、imer tubing procured for the bodies manufactured in accordance with this specification has been previously subjected to the hydrostatic test specified in this specification, a second hydrostatic test will not be required ._ 4.5. 2 Protect ive coat- . - Procedures for testing, the cleaning of compone

42、nts and the application of protective coatings shall be in accordance with the criteria for testing as specified on the applicable component drawings and in the specification referenced thereon. One component per lot of components having protective finish applied shall be tested. 4.5.3 Heat treatmen

43、t microstructure. - The heat microstructure shall be tempered martensite as determined by preparing the samples in accordance with Sections 27 and 29 of specification ASTM E-3. The structure shall be determined at magnifications of 500x or higher. Typical structures are depicted on pages 38 and 39 o

44、f the Volume 7 of the Eighth edition of Metals Handbook. 5.0 PACKAGING 5.1 Pac kagina.
