SCOPE 1.1 This spec

2、ification covers one tyy-pe of head harness for chemical- biological masks. 2. APPLICABLE DoChPJVI“T 2.1 Government documents. 5、nnection with specific procurement functions should be obtained from the procuring activity or as directed by the contracting officer. ) 3 . RF,QUIREIENTS 3.1 Materials and components. All materials and components cited on Drawing C5-2-1021 or on the subsidiary drawings shall conform to the speci- f

6、ications thereon or the specific characteristics set forth on the drawings, except as follows: 3.1.1 Elastic webbing (JJ-W-155). 3.1.1.1 Tension. The tension shall be 1.65 pounds minimum and 3.25 pounds maximum in lieu of the tension values specified in table III of JJ-W-155 3.1.1.2 Flexing. The web

7、bing shall show no rupture of elastic threads nor more than 10 percent permanent set after flexing as specified in 4.2.4.1. 3.2 Manufacture and assembly. The head harness shall be manufactured and. assembled in accordance with Drawing C5-2-1021. 3.2.1 Pads, The inner and outer pads shall be evenly c

8、ut and shall coincide without wrinkles or puckers when stitched together with the elastic webbing between them. 3.2.2 Stitching. When stitching is not continuous thread, it shall be backstitched no less than one-half inch. In sewing, the thread tension shall be properly maintained so that there will

9、 be no loose stitching, and the lock shall be embedded in the center of the sewn material. 3.2.3 Strap eEd clips. When attaching strap end clips, the elastic webbing shall be inserted the full depth of the clip. in assembling the clips to the webbing shall not be sufficient to cut, break, or materia

Procurement documents should specify the title, number and date of this specification. 6.3 Tests. It is suggested that destructive tests (see 4.2.4) on the webbing be conducted prior to manuf

Certain provisions of this specification When amendment, revision or cancellation of this specification are the subject of international standardization agreement QSTAG-23-6 a

18、nd 234. is proposed which will affect or violate the international agreemerit concerned, the preparing activity will take appropriate reconciliation action through international standardization channels including depart- mental standardization offices, if required. 6.6 Interplant shipments. Packagin

19、g for supplies and materials which will not enter the military supply system. Typical interplant shipments are shipments from a vendor to a subcontractor or a prime contractor, or from a subcontractor to a prime contractor, or from a vendor or contractor to a military arsenal or plant. 6.7 Figure 1.
