REQUIREMENTS 3.1 General The bullet shall comply with the requirements of Drawing (Dwg.)C-8595434, referenced specifications and other requirements specified herein. with Dwg. 8595432 and the average of

12、r. It shall be free of burrs, sharp edges, foreign matter, and defects not permitted by MIL-STD-636. The cleaning method used shall not be injurious to the bullet, nor shall the bullet be contaminated by the cleaning agents. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection and stand

13、ard quality assurance provisions. Unless otherwise specified herein or in the contract, the provisions of MIL-A-48078 shall apply are hereby made part of this detail specification. 4.2 Classification of inspection The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First Artic

14、le Inspection (See 4.3 b. Quality conformance Inspection (See 4.4) 4.3 First article inspection. 4.3.1 Submission. The contractor shall submit a first article as designated by the Contracting Officer for evaluation in accordance with the provisions of 4.3.2. The first article sample shall consist of

17、b 0354543 O m MIL-B-70445 (AR) 4.4 Quality conformance inspection. 4.4.1 inspection lot formation. Inspection lots shall comply with the lot formation provisions of MIL-A-48078. Each inspection lot shall contain bullets from one interfix lot number from one manufacturer. Inspection lots shall not ex

18、ceed 150,000 bullets per lot. 4.4.2 Examination. See MIL-A-48078. Sampling plans. Unless otherwise specified in the Classification of Defects and Tests Tables, sampling plans for major and minor defects shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105, inspection Level II. 5 Licensed by Information Handling

21、 W MIL-B-70445 (AR) 4.4.3 Testing. _I- - Testing is described in Table 1 and paragraph 4.4.4 - InsEction equiptent. .- -rr_ The inspection equipment required to perform the examinations and tests prescribed herein is described in Table I and paragraphs 4.4.2.1 through 4.4.2.3. The contractor shall s

22、ubmit for approval, inspection equipment designs in accordance with the terms of the contract. See Section 6 of MIL-A-48078 and 6.3 herein. 4.4.2.3. 4.5 Methods of inseection. 4.5.1 Accuracy. Prior to assembly of this sample, a quantity - I -_I_- - of 20 cartriages assembled in accordance with Dwg.

23、8595432, shall be tested for velocity in accordance with Section 18 of SCATP-7.62. The test shall be conducted at 70 + 2%. If the average velocity of the quantity is not between 2640 feet per second (fps) -F 30 fps at 78 feet from the weapon muzzle or if the standard deviation of the velocities is g

24、reater than 28 fps, a new charge weight must be established. cartridges complies with these requirements, the accuracy sample shall be assembled in accordance with Dwg. 8595432 using the assessed charge weight. The charge weight and overall length of each assembled cartridge from both the assessment

25、 quantity and accuracy sample shall be measured and the values recorded. The accuracy test shall be conducted in accordance with Section 3 of SCATP-7.62 using a range of 300 yards or 600 yards. A range of less than 300 yards shall not be used. When the test is conducted on a 300 yard range, the aver

26、age of the mean radii of the targets shall be multiplied by the conversion factor of 2.3. When a quantity of 20 5. PACKAGING 5.1 - Preservation -I - and padcaginq.
