When specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 6.3) in accordance with 4.3. 3.2 Material. The material shall be as

It is encouraged that recycled material be used when practical as long as it meets the requirements of this specific

26、ents when incarporated into the end product. 3.4 Design and construction. !ih design and construction of the bath unit shall be as specified herein, ani as shuwn on Drawing 6-1-8199 and ail subsidiary drawings and parts list pertaining thereto. The water punp shall operate an a 3-phase, 60 hertz, 20

27、8 volts, 5 wire electric power source. Three wires are to supply the phases, the white wire is to be 115 volt neutral ground and the green wire is to be the equimt groumi. All wiring shall be in accordance with the provisions of The Natimal Fire Protection Association (“PA) No. 70. Diesel shall be t

The cunplete bath unit shall be assembled and pt in operation without the use of tools, except for a 7/8 inch wrench to attach the fuel lines to t

33、he drum fill assembly. 4.4.5. Testing shall be as specified in 3.5.3 Water flow. The assembled bath unit shall be capable of supplying and maintaining water to any one or all of the shower heads when tested as specified in 4.4.5. 3.5.4 Mue. The assembled bath unit shall show no evidence of leakage w

34、hen tested as specified in 4.4.5. 3.5.5 Rnm, water. The water punp performance curve shall equal or exceed that sham on Drawing 6-1-8211. The net positive suction head shall not be more than 4 feet, and the flow rate, when operating at the rated motor amperage, shall not be less than 30 gallons per

35、minute (GEM) (see 4.4.1.1). Testing shall be as specified in 4.4.5. 3.6 Markinq. Marking for identification shall be in accordance with MIL-130. 3.7 Interchanueab iiity. so fabricated as to be interchangeable with the like parts of any other unit furnished under any one contract. Rie 3.8.1 Welders. unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), before assigning any welder to work, the contractor shall provide the m-t inspection service with the names of the mlders to be enplayed in the work, together with certification that each of the

39、welders has passed a qualification test as prescribed by either of the following listed codes for the type of welding operation to be perfonred, and that such qualification is effective as defined by that particular code as follows: (a) Standar Qualification procedure of the American Welding Society

40、. (b) Welding Qualification of the American Society of Whanical Engineers. 3.8.2 Weldinq. The surface of parts to be welded shall be free fmn oxide, scale, paint, grease, and other foreign matter. Welds shall be sound, continuous, smoth, and free fmnporosity, cracks, incarplete fusion, and deformati

41、on of material. shall be renioved fmm the finished welds. All scale and flux deposits (when flux is used) 3.8.3 Electrical wir*. Wiring shall not be cut, abraded, or have excessive insulation stripped, and shall be properly and tightly joined at terminals. Wiring shall have adequate slack to provide

42、 strain relief. 4. QupiLITY ASSURANCE PRc)VISI(3Ns 4+1 Responsibilitv for inspect ion. unless otherwise specified in the contract or prrchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements (examinations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise spec

43、ified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his awn or any other facilities suitable for the perfomaxe of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Goverrment. any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed n

44、ecessary to ensure supplies and services conform to the prescribed requirements. The Govenmrrent reserves the right to perform 4.1.1 i?esm nsibilitv for cam liance. All itenrs shall meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall becarre a part of the

Iniless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for ensuring that all

48、 specified dimensions have been met. When dimensions cannot be examined on the en item, inspection shall be made at any point, or at all points in the manufacturing process necessary to ensue canpliance with all dimmiom1 requirements. 4.1.3 Certificates of caro liance. When certificates of canplianc

49、e are sulmitted, the Govemrmt reserves the right to inspect such items to determine the validity of the certification. 4.2 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. b. First article inspection (see 4.3). Quality conformance inspection (see 4.4). 4.3 First article insuection. When a first article is required (see 3.1 and 6.2), it shall be examined for the defects specified i
