SCOPE. This CID covers the requirements for a filter

2、assembly, for use in the fuel sys- tems of internal combustion engines, modified for use as an air filter for air-powered, bleed air, control valves (see 6.1). 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. 2.1 Materials. Unless otherwise specified herein, the materials used shall be in accordance with the manufacture

3、rs materials specifications for fluid fuel filters as required to meet the per- formance requirements of this CID. All surfaces shall be cleaned, primed, treated and finished in accordance with the manufacturers standard commercial practices to resist corrosion. 2.2 Design and construction. The desi

4、gn and construction of the filter shail be in accor- dancewith figure 1. The manufacturers filter may be modified to conform to figure 1 by remov- ing a length of the tube from the inlet and outlet of the filter, but retaining the tube bead. The filter weight shall be not greater than 8 ounces. 23 P

5、erformance. The filter shall meet the performance characteristics specified in table I using a liquid flow rate of not less than 35 gallons per hour. 2.4 Identification and marking. The filter shall be marked with the direction of flow and the manufacturers brand name and model number. Beneficial co

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS. The products provided shall

14、 meet the salient characteristics of this CID, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 5. PACKAGING. P

15、reservation, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order. 6. NOTES. 6.1 Intended use. The filter covered by this CID (NSN 2910-01-437-6885) is a compo- nent of the M56 and M58 Smoke Generators. It is used to supply filtered air to the air-Oper- ated valve that contr
