2、al agencies. 1. SCOPE. This CID covers wheel rings for pneumatic tire wheels for wheeled tactical vehicles. 2. SALIENT CHARACTENSTICS 2.1 Interface. The rings shall interface with wheels manufactured in accordance with MS53044 for tire sizes 9.00-20, 10.00-20, 11.00-20, and 12.50-20. Rings shall att

3、ach securely to the specified wheel and provide retention of the specified tires. The rings shaii be removable with common tire tools. 2.2 Finish. When applicable, rings shall be cleaned, treated, and primed with appropriate commercial methods. The finished item color shaii be green. The finished it

4、em sha be chemical agent resistant. Rings shail show no evidence of corrosion when tested in accordance with ASTM B117, the exposure time shall be as specified in the contract (see 6.2). 2.3 Radial fatigue. When assembled with the appropriate disc and rim assembly, the wheel and ring assembly shall

5、pass dynamic radial fatigue test requirements per SAE J267 with an 1 1 .OO-20 tire. 2.4 Cornering; fatime. The disc and rim assembly with which the ring described herein is intended to be used shall pass the dynamic Cornering fatigue test requirements per SAE J267. Beneficial comments, recommendatio

The rings shali comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 120. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Product conformance. The products provided sha meet

9、the salient characteristics of this commercial item description, conform to the producers own drawings, specications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The Government reserves the ight to require proof of such conformance.

10、4.2 Market acceptability. The item offered must havebeen sold to the Governent or commercial market. 5. PACKAGING. In the past, the finishing proce

17、dure cited on Army Drawing 7389061 has proved successful in providing sufficient corrosion protection for the rings. 6.6 Ouality assurance reauirements. Historically, quality assurance requirements (QAR) 7389061 have applied to this item.
