SCOPE. This CID covers but

2、ton bits for use with drifter drills. 2. SALENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Materials. Unless specified herein, the materials used shali be in accordance with manufacturers material specifications for button bits. 2.2 Design and construction. The button bits shali be in accordance with the requirements of t

The threads shall be turned parallel to centerline and concentric with 0.01 i

8、nch of gauge circumference. Thread portion shall be T38 female lefi hand thread. 2.2.2 Rock bit. Bit body matenal shall be thru hardenable alloy steel with hardness throughout of Rh42-45C. 2.3 Identification and marking. Identification and markings of the button bit shall be permanent and legible an

9、d shall include, as a minimum, the manufacturer?s identification code (CAGE), the contract number, the part or identification number (PIN) (see 6.2 and 6.3) and the national stock number (NSN). 3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENT. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum

10、extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS. 4.1 Resoonsibility for inspection. The contractor is responsible for the performance of ail inspection examinations and tests. 4.2 Contractor certification. The contr

11、actor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient Characteristics of this CID and that the product conforms to the producer?s own drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, and quaiity assurance practices. Items with known defects shall not be

12、submitted for government acceptance. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be othenvise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 5. PRESERVATION, PACKAGING, PACKING, AND MkTUUNG. Preservation, packaging, pac

13、king, and marking shall b as specified in the contract or order (see 6.2). 6. NOTES.
