2、r all federal agencies, 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers a single 48 by 40 inch wood pallet for general storage and handling of material. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Construct im. The pallet shall be 48 inches in length by 40 inches in width, general purpose, four-way entry

3、, flush stringer, double face non-reversible, wooden pallet. The pallet shall have a 2500 pound maximum load capacity. As a minimum, the top load carrying deck shall consist of seven equally spaced deck boards and the bottom load bearing deck shall consist of five deckboards. Deck board dimensions s

4、hall be 0.75 inches in thickness and 3.5 inches in width. The pallet shall have three stringers. Each stringer shall be 1.5 inches in width by 3.5 inches in height. The center stringer shall be centered in the width of the pallet. 2.1.1 Idumber. Lumber shall be selected by the contractor and shall b

9、ts the salient characteristics of this commercial item description and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, and quality assurance practices. Items with known defects shall not be submitted for Government acceptance. The government reserves t

10、he right to perform or witness any of the inspections it deems necessary to insure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 5. PACKAGING. Preservation, packing, and marking shall be as specified in the contractor order (see 6.1). 6. NOTES. (This section contains information of a gen
