SCOPE. This

2、CID covers rigid rGd end clevises. The items are intened to be attached to a shaft or rod by pinning to provide a means of fastening or attaching the shaft or rod to another part. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. 2.1 Materiais. The material shall be carbon steel, Unified Numbering System (UNS) G10150 thr

3、ough G10290. These steels shall have a minimum ultimate tensile strength of 55,000 pounds per square inch (psi). The use of recovered materials is acceptable providing that all requirements of this CID are met (see note 5.5). 2.2 Design and construction. The design and construction of rod ends shall

4、 be in accordance with figure 1. 2.3 Protective finish. When specified (see 5.2), protective finish shall be zinc coating in accordance with ASTM A123 or ASTM B633-85, type II, class SC3. 2.4 Identification and markings. Identificatiqn and markings shall be permanent and legible and shall consist of

5、 the part identification number (PIN) and the manufactuers identification (see 5.2 and 5.3). 3. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS. 3.1 Responsibility for inspection. The contractor is responsible or the performance of all inspections (examinations and tests). r I Beneficial comments, recommendations, add

The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this commercial item description and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, and I quality assurance practice
