SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 1.1 soft anodized fini

3、imum breaking strength of 1800 kilograms and a maximum weight of 140 grams. The figure-8 descenders shall be capable of withstanding an 1000-kilogram pull test. Color shall be black and the manufacturers identification symbol shall be stamped on each descender. Design and construction. The figure-8

The inspection level shall be II and the acceptable quality level (AQL), expressed in terms of defects

8、per hundred units, shall be 4.0. The lot size shall be expressed in units of descenders. The sample unit shall be one descender. The descenders shall be examined for the defects listed below: Finish not smooth and adherent; color not as specified not free of burrs, rough spots, sharp edges, slivers,

9、 flat areas or projections; any component missing or not specified type; any component fractured, split, dented, bowed, malformed, damaged or loose; markings in wrong location, incomplete, illegible, incomplete, or not as specified, 2.3 Dimensional examination. The descenders shall be examined witho

10、ut damaging or disassembling the descenders. Any dimension not within the specified tolerances shall be classified as a defect. The lot size shall be expressed in units of descenders. The sample unit chai1 be one descender. The inspection level shall be S-3 and the AQL, expressed in terms of defects

11、 per hundred units, shall be 2.5. 2.4 Proof load test. For proof load testing any industrial testing machine may be used to determine compliance with the requirements specified in 1.1, Any desired operating speed may be used until a load of 1170 grams is reached. After reaching that point the speed

12、shall be maintained at not more than 4 inches per minute or less than 1 inch per minute until a load of 1800 kg is reached. This load shall be maintained for not less than 10 nor more than 15 seconds. The descender shall withstand the 1800 kg load without breaking or cracking. Descenders subjected t

13、o this test shall be discarded, Any breaking, cracking or deformation shall be considered a failure. The sampling for this test shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105. The inspection level shall be S-2. Any test failure shall be cause for rejection of the lot. 3. PACKAGING 3.1 Packaging, Twelve des

14、cenders shall be packaged in a snug-fitting intermediate box fabricated from corrugated fiberboard. 3.2 Packing. One hundred and twenty descenders packaged as specified, shall be packed in a snug-fitting RSC style corrugated fiberboard shipping container conforming to type CF, class domestic, grade

15、275 of PPP-B-636. The shipping container shall be completely filled with no voids and of a size that can be palletized in accordance with MIL-STD-147. When specified (see 4,2), descenders packed as specified, shall be palletized on a 4-way entry pallet in accordance with load type Ia of MIL-STD-147. Each prepared load shall be bonded with primary and secondar

17、y straps in accordance with bonding means C and D, or film bonding means F or G, in accordance with MIL-STD-147. 3.4 purchase order, intermediate packs, shipping containers and palletized unit loads shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129. Marking. In addition to any special markings required
