Scope: This description covers tissue paper which is used fo

2、r wrapping items to protect them from breaking, scratching or dust during shipment or storage. Classification: The tissue paper covered by this Commercial Item Description shall be of the following types, as specified (See Section 6, Ordering Data) . Type I - regular Type II - antitarnish 1. SALIENT

3、 CHARACTERISTICS: A. The tissue paper shall be 100 percent bleached chemical wood pulp and shall conform to the requirements in Table 1 when tested in accordance with paragraph 4.C.(3). B. Type II tissue paper shall not tarnish silver when tested in accordance with paragraph 4.C.(3). C. The tissue p

4、aper shall be furnished in sheet:; with clean cut edges. REGULATORY REOUIREMENT: The contractor shall certify that the product offered shall include a minimum of 5% postccmsumer recovered materials, in acc

The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 4. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the Commercial Item Description, where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requiremen

17、ts (See Section 6, Ordering Data). B. Samplinq: All sampling shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105 except in paragraph (3). (1) Samplinu for Visual Inspection. A random sample of tissue paper shall be taken from each lot. The inspection level shall be S-4 with an Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) of

18、4.0 percent defective. The sample unit shall be one sheet. (2) Barnplinu for Dimensional Inspection. A random sample of tissue paper shall be taken from each lot. The inspection level shall be S-3 with an AQL of 4. O percent defective. The sample unit shall be one sheet. (3) Samplinu for Tests. A ra

19、ndom sample of tissue paper shall be taken from each lot. The inspection level and AQL percent shall be as per TAPPI T-400. (4) Samplinu for Preparation for Delivery. For examination of the preparation for delivery. The sample unit shall be one shipping container fully prepared for delivery, selecte

20、d at random. The inspection level shall be S-2 with an AQL of 4.0 percent defective. C. InsDections. (1) Visual Examination. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4.B.1. shall be examined to verify that the superficial product requirements are in compliance with Section 1. (2) Dimensional Exami

21、nation. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4.B.2. shall be examined to verify. that all dimensionally measurable product requirements are in compliance with Section 1. (3) Tests. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4.B.3. shall be subjected to the following tests to demonstrate consis

22、tency in product functionality, durability, and performance expectations. (a) For basis weight use TAPPI test method T-410. (b) For bursting strength use TAPPI test method T-403. 4. (4) Examination for Preparation for Delivery. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4. B. 4. shall be examined to

24、determine compliance with Section 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY. A. Packaqinq and Packina Provisions. Each ream (480 sheets) shall be packaged to prevent damage during multiple shipments, handling, and storage. Packaged tissue paper shall be packed in accordance with normal commercial practice. The pa

25、cking container shall be closed to prevent accidental opening and shall be such to insure carrier acceptable and safe delivery to destination, complying with the rules and regulations applicable to the mode of transportation to be used. (See Section 6) B. Markinq. (1) For Shipment to Civilian Auenci

26、es. In addition to any special marking required by contract or order, :marking shall be in accordance with Fed. Std. No. 123. Bar Code marking is required, unless otherwise specified (See Section 6). (2) For Shipment to Military Activities. In addition to any special markings required by the contrac

27、t or order, marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129. Bar Code marking is required, unless otherwise specified (See Section 6). NOTES. A.
