5、N.- The requirements of XE-T-4860 shall apply as requirements of this specification with the exceptions and additions specified herdn. this specific at ion shall govern. When the two specificat ions conflict, 3 . 3 DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION 3.3.1 WIRING PRACTICE, WIRE, AND C0MK)NENTS.- TsnZess otherwi
6、se specified, wire, wiring, soldering, wire marking, color coding, marking of parts, selection of electron tubes, and other components shall be in accordance with MIL-W-7517. 3.3.1,l Short leads of solid, tinned copper wke may be used 3.3.1.2 If color coding is used, the chassis wiring shall follow

Any one shipping component shall not exceed a weight of 800 pounds or overall dimensions of 4 by 6 by 8 feet, except that one compment may have the maxinum dimension not to exceed 12 feet. 13、 the volune of a component having maxirnum dimensions of 4 by 6 by 8 feet. install or disassemble the simulator without the use of special tools, insofar as feasible. they shall be furnished with the simulator with at least one spare of each type of tool. 14、f this equipment, it shall be possible to uncrate and assenblo the simulator ready for operation, or to disassemble and crate it ready for shipment, utilizing not more than 128 man hours. 3.3.3 COMFNENT LIMITATIONS.- The shulator shall be air It shallbe so designed that a 3.3.4 INSTALLATION AND DISA

16、ner is installed, and to make the transit cases dust-tight and weather-tight when the simulator is crated for shipment or storage. - 3.3.5 TRANSIT CASES.- The transit cases shall not be perinanent simulator components. The number and sima of transit cases shall be sufficient to accommodate the simul
17、ator components in accordance with Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-the weight and dimnsional criteria specified in 3.3.3. Any screws, clamps, or other holding devices used for assembling the cases for shipment or installat ion shall b
18、e captive to minimize possibility of lost parts. Necessary shock mounts shall be built into the transit cases to protect the equipment during shipment of oparation. 3.3.6 0PZRATION.- The shulator, when connected to radar training set AN/APQ-T1 or AN/AFQ-TZA (see 6.2), shall operate from power pro- v
19、ided by or for the attached training set. the AN/APQ-T1 and.AN/AFQ-T2A radar training sets shall be in accord- ance with MIL-R-474L and MIL-R-9274 respectively, When the simulator is installed with either the AN/AFQ-Tl or AN/APQ/T2A radar training set, the modified bombsight shall extend not less th
20、an 18 inches into one side of the housing at the heights specified in 3.8.5. The power requirements for. 3.4.1 GENERAL.- The simulator shall consist of the equipment which, when connected to radar training set AN/AW-Tl or AN/A?Q-T2A, shall. present an optical image representing the terrain below a s
21、imulated airplane position, similar to the image seen through a bombsight in an actual flight. synchronized with motion of the simulated airplane in the radar training set to permit training in coordinated optical and radar bombing techniques, Operat ion with the Y-4 horizontal periscope shall be ci

Notion of the image shall be 3 . 4 . 2 CXARACTER IST ICs OF SIMULATED BOMBSI6HT OPZRATION . - Performance of the simulator shall meet the following requirements: 3.4.2.1 ALTITUDE SMULAT1ON.- Altitude siwdstion shall be variable frm 5,000 to 40,000 feet in three ranges, from 5,000 to 10,000,
