REQUIRETIEIJTS . 3.1 Component parts.- The lighting set shall consist of 4 ultra-violet lamp agsembiies complete with lamps, on

10、e 4 gang resistor ballast, and one 4 gang tandem control rheostat. 3.2 Material; 3.2.1 Specifications and standards .- Specifications and standards for all materials, parts, and Government certification and approval of processes and equipment, which are not specifically designated herein and which a

11、re necesaary fv the exemition of this specification shall be selected in accordance rfth Bulletin No. 143, except as provided in the following paragraph: they are suitable for the purpose, and shall be identified by their part numbers. Commercirlutility Parts such as Screm, bolts, nuts, cotter pins,

15、ioration in a manner that will in no way prevent compliance with the performance requirements of this specification. The use of any protective coating that will crack, chip, or scale with age or extranes of climatic and environmental conditions-shall be avoided. - - . - - - - - - _ - - _ - - 3.3 Des

16、ign.- The lighting set shall be designed to operate as a unit arid to furnish ultra-violet energy suitable for activating and making legible markings which are made with luminescent material in accordance with Specifications AN-L-1 and IlII,-L-6770. between 25.5 and 28.9 dc. The set shall operate on

17、 any voltage 3.4 Construction.- The lighting set shall be constructed so that no parts will work loose in service. It shall be hilt to withstand the strains, jars, vibrations, and other conditions incident to shipping, storage, installation, and service. 3.4.1 Terminal marking.- The electrical termi

18、nals and leads of all component parts shall be marked with colors for ease of electrical connection. 3.4.2 Screw threads.- The screw threads shall confonn to Specificrtion MIL4 -7 7 42 . 3.4.3 Insulation.- All insulation shall be capable of wlthst _. be marked for identification in accordance with S

Particular attention shall be given to neatness an

21、d thoroughness of soldering, wifing, impregnation of coils, marking of parts and assemblies, uelding and brazing, painting,-riveting, mac_hineEscrm assemblies, and freedm of Parts from burrs and sharp edges. - ._ - _I - - - - 3.12.2 mensionS.- Dimensions and tolerances not specified, shall be as clo

30、ce tests,- Four lighting sets shall be selected at random from each lot and subjected to the following testst 4.3.2.2 Lot,- A lot shall consist of lighting sets manufactured under essentially the same conditions and submitted for inspection at substantially the same time, 4.3.2.3 When sampling tests

31、 are specified on a number of items that ore selected as representative of the lot, and one or more fails to meet the specified tests, acceptance of all items in the lot wlll be withheld until the extent and cause of failure is determined, For operational reasons, Individual tests may be continued p
