1、INCH-POUNDI A-A-58074 3-1 JULY 1996 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION TEST SET ,ULTRASONIC, BOND The General Services Administration has authorized the use of tis commercia description for all federal agencies. item 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description covers the minimum performance requirements for

2、 a portable ultrasonic test set used for ultrasonic bond testing equipment of metallic and nonmetallic composite material. 2. Salient characteristics: 2.1 The test set shall provide reliable means for performing ultrasonic inspections to detect disbonds in metal to metal, metal to nonmetal and nonme

3、tal to nonmetal substances. 2.2 Frequency Range. The frequency range of the test set shall be from 500 hertz to 1 megahertz. 2.3 The test set shall operate on 1 15 to 230 volts alternating current, 50-60 hertz automatic switched or battery power with provision to charge the battery power pack from t

4、he AC line when connected. 2.3.1 Battery Packs. The battery pack shall be able to power the test set for six hours while in use on battery power. 2.3.2 The test set shall be provided with two battery packs. The gain shall be 0.0 to 50.0 decibels. 2.5 Connector. The test set shall have an analog output to connect to with an external video display. 2.6 The test

7、 set shall provide visible and audible indications of disbond occurrence either in positive or negative directions . The alarm shall be selected and adjusted for momentary or continuous audible alarm. 2.7 The automatic signal type detection of synchronous, phase and amplitude shall be selected by th

8、e type of probe to be used . 2.8 The display shall provide dual x-y screen with side by side presentation of active and recalled stored information. The display presentation shall be a minimum of 11 inches in size measured diagonally. 2.9 The test set shall be able to store a minimum of 50 parameter

9、s and users shall able to easily retrieve from memory any parameter stored at any time. 2.1 O Cable. The test set shall have a RS-232 cable and handshake software. 2.1 1 Software. The test set shall have the latest commercially available version of the operating system sohare. 2.12 The test set shal

10、l provide an electronic null that will center the signal or retum to home position on the active screen in all functional modes. 2.13 Probes. 2.13.1 The test set shall be provided with one each 30 & 60 kHz, 1 10 kHz, 165 kHz, 250 kHz and 330 kHz resonance probes. 2.13.2 The test set shall be provide

11、d with one pitchkatch impulse probe, one pitchhatch sweep probe and one mechanical impedance probe. 2.13.3 The test set shall be provided with a method of probe recognition for the test mode selected. 2.13.4 All probes shall provided with a quick release type connector. 2.14 The maximum weight of th

A protective carrying case for the

13、 instrument shall be designed to exclude harmful or undesirable elements, and should include space for the probes and accessories. 2.17 The test set shall be able to operate in temperature range of -10 OF to + 130 OF with a relative humidity of 95%. 2.18 The test set shall be capable of operating in

14、 hazardous explosive area which shall have the been approved by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Factory Mutual (FM) or reputable independent testing laboratory. 3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. 3.1 Recovered Materials. The contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent prac

15、tical, in a accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR). 3.2 -a. Products manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pounds test set, provided they fall within specified tolerances using conversion tables

16、contained in the latest revision of Federal Standard No. 376, and all other requirements of this Commercial Item Description are met. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed tolerances specified in the inch-pound test sets, a request should be made to the contra

17、cting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The contracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product. 4. Ouality assuranc e provisions 4.1. Productconformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description, conform t

18、o the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 4.2 Market acceDtance criteria. The contractor shall have had available

19、 in the commercial market place for use for not less than one year bond ultrasonic test set that are the similar to the one to be provided on this Commercial Item Description. The contractor must have sold at least 1 O0 test sets of the model provided. 5. Preservation. packaeing. packing. labeling.

20、and marking.
