8、in 0,18 % (nominal) carbon steel of about de 75 mm x 150 mm x 3 mm. An apparatus suitable for the measurementof the coating thickness and a salt spray chamber to IS0 9227. 4 Procedure Degrease the specimens and dry abrasive blast both surfaces and edges of the specimens with clean dry alumina of 125

9、 pm grain size. Phosphate the specimens according to EN 2793 : zinc phosphate to a mass per unit area of not less than 7 gim or manganese phosphate to a mass per unit area of not less than 4 glm. Measure the thickness of the specimen taking care not to damage the phosphating. Apply the dry lubricant

10、 to the surfaces and edges in accordance with EN 2491. After curing, to avoid the edge effect, seal the edges on 10 mm width with a suitable sealing compound. 12、the thickness meets the requirements of EN 3021. Test the specimens according to IS0 9227. Afler an exposure for 96 h, remove them and rinse them in deionized water to remove salt residues. 5 Expression of recuits Examine the specimens visually, note the number and size of any rust spots and the num

13、ber of blisters on each specimen. 6 Test report It shall include the following: - reference to this standard, - film designation to EN 3021, - application method to EN 2491 - curing conditions, - visual inspection results.
