Preparation of specimens 3.1 Elements of

10、connection shall be fitted with wired contacts. The bundle of wires shall be maintained by the accessory specified by the technical specification. 3.2 Unless indicated in the technical specification, the following details shall be specified : - type of elements of connection, - type of cable and cro

11、ss-section, - test is to be carried out manually, - test is to be carried out inechanically, with rate of operation, - number of operations, - rate, - method and requirement for final measurements. 4 Method 4.1 Procedure The specimens shall be submitted without electrical load, to the number of mati

12、ng- unmating operations and at the rate specified by the technical specification. The specimen shall be mated, locked and unmated so that plug and receptacle are completely separated, which constitutes one cycle. Mating and unmating may be carried out manually or unless otherwise specified by the te

13、chnical specification with a mechanical device simulating manual operations provided the latter does not induce any excessive stresses. A counter shall record the number of mating-unmating operations. The specimen shall be operated at the rate specified and for the number of cycles specified by the

14、technical specification. 4.2 Final measurements (if applicable) - EN 2591-A1 - Visual examination - EN 2591-81 or EN 2591-B2 - Contact resistance - EN 2591-B5 - Housing (shell) electrical continuity - EN 259 1 -B6 - Measurement of insulating resistance - EN 259 1 -B7 - Voltage-proof test - EN 2591-D8 - Mating and unmating forces - EN 2591-CI2 or EN 2591-CI3 or EN 2591-CI4 - Sealing, if applicable.
