We are also keeping a close eye on the Clean Air Act. This new law will seriously affect the industrys en

3、ergy usage. Old, inefficient electric power plants will incur huge costs and may even be forced to close down if corrective costs are too large. Of course actions such as this would affect certain dependent aluminum reduction plants. . Well be watching the implementation of this legislation very clo

4、sely. For all these reasons, and with the spectre of an economic slowdown with us we will be feeling increased pressure to reduce energy costs across the board. I am confident this Eleventh Energy Conservation Workshop will be as useful and informative as our past workshops. A special thank you goes
