SECTION 4 INITIAL SCANTLING EVALUATION 3 Hull Girder Strength 3.1 Hull Girder Section Modulus (Revise Subparagraph 4/3.1.1, as follows:) 3.1.1 Hull Girder Section Modulus Amidships (1 July 2017) The required hull girder section modulus 0.4L amidships is to be calculated in accordance with 4/3.3, 4/3.5 and 4/3.7. For determination of initial net structural scantlings, the net hull girder section modulus amidships, SMn, is to be calculated in accordance with 4/3.1.2 below.
