Compared with Oprah, the Jerry Springer show looks like poisonous waste being dumped on society. Jerry ends ever wit
4、h a “final word“. 5Hopefully, this is the part where most people will learn something very valuable. Clean as it is, the Oprah show is not for everyone. 6Most of these people have the time, money, and stability to deal with lifes tougher problems. Jerry Springer, on the other hand, has more of an as
5、sociation with the young adults of society. 7They are the ones who see some value and lessons to be learned underneath the shows exploitation. While the two shows are as different as night and day, both have ruled the talk show circuit for many years now. 8Ironically, both could also be considered p

Attractive female executives were considered to have less integrity than unattractive ones. 4All unattractive women executives were thought to have more integrity and to be more capable than the attractive female execu

Interestingly, though, the rise of the unattractive overnight successes was attributed more to personal relationships and less to ability than was that of attractive overnight successes. 5An attractive woman is perceived to be more feminine and an attractive man more masculine than the less a
12、ttractive ones. Thus, an attractive woman has advantage in traditionally female jobs. 6This is true even in politics. “When the only clue is how he or she looks, people treat men and women differently,“ says Anne Bowman, who recently published a study on the effects of attractiveness on political ca
13、ndidates. 7She asked 125 undergraduate students to rank two groups of photographs, in order of attractiveness, one group of men and one group of women. The students were told the photographs were of candidates for political offices. They were asked to rank them again, in the order they vote for them
14、. The results showed that attractive males utterly defeated unattractive men. 8 A. But an attractive woman in a traditionally masculine position appears to lack the masculine qualities required.
