Where there is no corresponding clause or sub-clause in this section, the clause or sub-clause of Part I applies without modification a

18、removed 1. A-deviation: A national deviation due to regulations, the alteration of which is - at least for the time being - outside the competence of the CEN/CENELEC member. General The “Maschinenschutzvorrichtungs-Verordnung requires the provision of riving knives for all circular saws. In no-load

19、condition the complete circumference of the blade shall be covered. Circular saws shall have a means of preventing throw-back of wood pieces. Riving knives are considered to effect this. General The Finnish National Board of Labour Protection inspects the tools for the protection against mechanical

20、hazards. Justification Act on the Protection of Labour (299/58). ITALY General The guards of circular saws are required to act as protection against chip ejection as well as protection against accidental contact with the saw teeth. (DPR 547, 5 109) Fixed saws (and consequently portable saws which ca

21、n be fixed to a saw-table) shall have a riving knife. General Art. 4 Insulation of handless for manuel advance On electrically driven machines with flexible lead-in, handles for manual advance of the tool holder or the work piece feeder, must be insulated. ia Art. 28 Riving knife 1 The saw blade fix

22、ed on the machine is to be supplied with a riving knife. 2 This riving knife should correspond with the diameter and the thickness of saw blade and must be correctly adjustable. Art. 29 Riving knife support The riving knife support is to be installed so that it remains parallel to the rest of work p

23、iece when cutting height is being regulated and that the riving knife does not change its position in comparison with the saw blade. Art. 38 Riving knife device 18.1 Circular hand saws must be fitted with a riving knife device according to articles 28 and 29. Justification Decree of the Swiss Federa

24、l Government on accident prevention during the machining and treatment of wood and other organic - materials, April 28th, 1971, articles 4, 28, 29 and 38. The National Board of Occupational Safety and Health has issued detailed additional requirements for the mechanical safety of circular saws. Lega

The part containing the motor, if suitable shaped, may be considered as a handle. Compliance shall be checked by inspection. NETBERLANDS 23.2 For circular saws and circular knives designed for cutting depths exceeding 55 mm, non-detachable flexible cables and cords shall not be lighter than ordinary polychloroprene sheated flexible cable (code designation HO 7-RN-FI.
