9、e-alum tanned leather used for the manufacture of dress gloves. This International Standard does not apply to chamois and alum tanned (tawed) leather or to leather for safety or sports gloves. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this doc

14、 the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply. 3.1 alum tanned leather tawed leather leather prepared solely with a mixture of which the essential active ingredient is an aluminium salt, and often, but not necessarily, alum-egg yolk and flour NOTE The natural colour of th

15、e leather is white. 3.2 chamois leather leather made from the flesh split of sheep, goat or lamb skin, or from sheep or lamb skin from which the grain has been removed by frizing and tanned by processes involving the oxidation of fish or marine animal oils in the skin, using either solely such oils

16、(full-oil chamois) or first an aldehyde and then such oils (combination chamois) 3.3 chrome-alum tanned leather leather that has first been chrome tanned throughout its thickness, then further treated or tanned with aluminium tanning agent 3.4 chrome tanned leather leather tanned either solely with

17、chromium salts or with chromium salts together with quite small amounts of some other tanning agent used merely to assist the chrome-tanning process, and not in sufficient amount to alter the essential chrome-tanned character of the leather 4 Requirements Leather for dress gloves shall conform to th

18、e requirements given in Table 1. 20、, in percent 20 % ISO 3376 ISO 14930:2012(E) ISO 2012 All rights reserved 35 Sampling 5.1 When possible, the location and identification of laboratory samples shall be in accordance with ISO 2418. 5.2 The number of samples shall be by agreement between the interested parties, except in cases of disp

21、ute when the number of samples shall be in accordance with ISO 2588. If the lot size of the leathers is high, the maximum number of samples shall be five. 6 Sample preparation and conditioning 6.1 Samples for physical and fastness tests shall be prepared and conditioned in accordance with ISO 2419.

22、6.2 Samples for chemical analysis shall be prepared in accordance with ISO 4044. 7 Test report The test report shall contain at least the following information: a) reference to this International Standard; b) results of the tests listed in Table 1; c) date and place of tests; d) full details for the identification of samples; e) any deviations from this International Standard or the test procedures used.
