The copyright status bit shall be applied in the digital output signal as follows, in accordance with the status of sub-code ID6 in the

28、 main ID of the main data area: When ID6 is “00“ Copyright status bit set for “not copyright protected“. When ID6 is “10“ or “1 1“ Copyright status bit set for “copyright protected“. 3.2 Recording functions 3.2.1 This part applies to DAT recorders if “bit O“ and “bit 1“ of the chamel status bits are

29、 “00“. However, recording is inhibited if “bit O“ and “bit 1“ are “lo“, “01“ or “11“. 3.2.2 ID6 shall be recorded with “lO“ for digital input signals without category code information, e.g. without channel status bits or with an undefined category code, independently of the status of the copyright s

30、tatus bit or the L bit of the! category code (see annex A). 3.2.3 For digital input signals originating from an analoguedigital converter with category code “analogue/digital converter“ (O1 1 OOXXL), or originating from other sources, such as digital broadcasting receivers and analogueldigital conve

31、rters with category code “general“ (00000000), ID6 shall be recorded with “11“ on the tape, independently of the status of the copyright status bit or the category code L bit. This requirement shall not be applied to the analogue/digital converters of the type specified in 3.2.4. NOTE - The digital

32、input signal specified in this subclause does not contain the source information of the original signal before digitization. The analogue digital converter is of a type which does not deliver source information. 3.2.4 For digital input signals originating from an analogue/digital converter with cate

33、gory code “analogue/digital converter“ (O1 1 O1 XXL), which can deliver original source information on the copy status even if the source is in analogue domain, the requirement stated in 3.2.3 shall not be applied. The white list in annex A includes these category codes. 3.2.5 For digital input sign

34、als with a copyright status bit set for “not copyright protected“ (l), ID6 shall be recorded with “00“ on the tape, except for the cases specified in 3.2.2 and 3.2.3. 3.2.6 Digital input signals with a copyright status bit set for “copyright protected“ (O) shall not be recorded on the tape, except for the cases specified in 3.2.2, 3.2.3 and 3.2.7. 3
