Introduction This standard serves as a basis for the use of fas-tening systems and tools in all fields of plant con-struction and mechanical engineering. It defines joint types and the minimum requirements appli-cable to the a

This standard was drawn up by VDI/VDE GMA Technical Committee 3.63, Measurement and Test Methods for Fastening Technology. 1 Anwendungsbereich Diese Richtlinie gilt fr alle Schraubs

Demarcation It is assumed that users of this standard will select and operate these fastening systems and tools in a

30、ccordance with all relevant legislation, ordinanc-es, provisions and regulations. In the interests of technical progress this standard has been formulated in general terms, thus allow-ing greater design flexibility. Each application must be considered on a case-by-case basis. The present standard wi

31、ll only be concerned with the joint and the fastening tool or fastening system to be used. It does not address safety aspects going beyond the joint itself (e.g., statistical evaluation, documentation, process safety, process parameters). The user of the standard will have to attend to these matters
