Besonderes Augenmerkwurde auf Befllung und Entleerung sowie Trans-port-, Umschlag- und Lagervorgnge gelegt.Die Richtlinie soll sich an die vorhandenen oderim Entwurf befindlichen Normen und Vorschriftenanschlieen. Besonders betroffen sind hier dieunter Abschnitt 2.1 nher bezeichnete Nor

13、mDIN EN 1898, die Aufstellung von Sicherheitsrat-schlgen des IK Industrieverbandes Kunststoffverpa-ckungen e.V. sowie weitere unter Abschnitt 4 ge-nannte Literaturquellen.2 Packmittelbeschreibung von FIBC2.1 Festgelegte BegriffeFlexible Gropackmittel werden als FIBC bezeich-net. Die Abkrzung stammt

14、aus dem Englischen undbedeutet Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container“. Inder Norm DIN EN 1898 werden die Gropackmittelwie folgt definiert:FIBC bestehen aus flexiblem Material wie Gewebe,Kunststofffolie oder Papier und sind so konstruiert,dass sie mit der Fllung in Berhrung kommen, di-rekt oder durch

15、Inliner, und im leeren Zustand zusam-menfaltbar sind.“Darber hinaus sind die Unterschiede zwischen Ein-weg- und Mehrweg-FIBC festgelegt. Von Bedeutungfr den Anwender ist hier insbesondere der Sicher-heitsfaktor (SF), der als Quotient aus der maximalenPrflast einer Wechselbelastungsprfung und dervorg

16、esehenen Nenntragfhigkeit (SWL) gebildetwird. Die Nenntragfhigkeit ist die maximale Last,die der FIBC im Einsatz tragen darf.Weitere detaillierte Begriffserluterungen finden sichin der DIN EN 1898, weshalb hier nicht im Einzelnendarauf eingegangen werden soll. Es sei noch erwhnt,dass normative Besch

17、reibungen der Materialien undKonstruktion, im Besonderen auch Prfung undKennzeichnung von FIBC schwerpunktmig in deroben genannten Norm enthalten sind.2.2 PackmittelwerkstoffeWerkstoffe zur Herstellung der Packmittel sind nichtnormativ festgelegt bzw. lediglich global mit Kunst-stoff“ und Papier“ um

Darber hinaus lassensich Naturfasern als Ausgangsmaterial zur Herstel-lung von Geweben mit einbeziehen, da allgemein Ge-webe als Material zur Fertigung von FIBC in derDIN EN 1898 genannt werden.1 IntroductionThis guideline gives a general introduction to, andguidance on the practical applica

19、tion of, flexible in-termediate bulk containers. Particular attention is di-rected to the filling and discharging, and to transport,transhipment, and storage processes.The guideline is intended to supplement the standardsand rules which are already available or currentlybeing drafted. This applies,

20、in particular, toDIN EN 1898 standard mentioned in Section 2.1, tothe compilation of safety recommendations of the IKIndustrieverband Kunststoffverpackungen e.V., andto further literature as per Section 4.2 Description of FIBCs2.1 DefinitionsFIBCs is the abbreviation for Flexible IntermediateBulk Co

21、ntainer. According to DIN EN 1898 theFIBCs is defined as follows:”Intermediate bulk container having the body madeof flexible material such as woven fabric, plasticsfilm or paper, designed to be in contact with the con-tents, either directly or through an inner liner, andcollapsible when empty“.In a

22、ddition, the standard specifies the differences be-tween single-trip and reusable FIBCs. The safetyfactor (SF), i.e. the ratio of the maximum test load ina cyclic top lift test over the intended value of the safeworking load (SWL), is of particular relevance to theuser in this context. The safe work

23、ing load is the max-imum load which the FIBC may carry in service.Further detailed definitions are given inDIN EN 1898 and are not dealt with here. Also notethat normative descriptions of the materials and thedesign and, in particular, of testing and marking ofFIBCs are further main issues of the af

24、orementionedstandard.2.2 Container materialsMaterials for the manufacture of the containers havenot been specified in a normative manner, or they areoutlined merely generally as ”plastics“ and ”paper“.Additionally, natural fibres can be included as a rawmaterial for the manufacture of woven fabrics,

26、(PE) und Polypropylen (PP) genannt werden.Spezifische Eignungen des einen oder des anderenKunststoffs fr bestimmte Fllgter lassen sich pau-schal nicht zuordnen. Dies ist vielmehr bei Kombina-tionen von Packmittelwerkstoffen und Packmittel-konstruktionen in Verbindung mit der Beurteilungder Eignung f

27、r bestimmte Fllgter mglich.Zur Herstellung von FIBC drfen nur flexible Mate-rialien verwendet werden, die in einer schriftlichenSpezifikation des Herstellers auch festgelegt sind. Zu-stze zur Modifikation, z.B. zur Verbesserung der Be-stndigkeit gegen UV-Licht-Bestrahlung, zur Abwehrvon Insektenbefa

28、ll oder zur Verbesserung der Alte-rungsbestndigkeit sind mglich, jedoch muss dieZugfestigkeit der Materialien nachgewiesen werden.Die UV-Stabilitt gibt Auskunft ber den Festigkeits-verlust des Materials aufgrund von Sonnenlichtein-wirkung. Hierzu gibt es nach CEN/ISO Test- bzw.Qualittskriterien. FIB

29、C aus UV-stabilisierten Pack-mittelwerkstoffen erlauben eine lngere Freilagerung(durchschnittlich bis zu zwei Jahren), bevor der Fes-tigkeitsverlust so gro wird, dass kein sicheres Hand-ling mehr mglich ist. Hilfreich sind z.B. UV-Indika-toren, die am FIBC angebracht werden. Beispiels-weise zeigt ei

30、n beschrifteter Streifen an, dass 50 %der Ursprungsfestigkeit erreicht sind, wenn die Be-schriftung auf dem Streifen nicht mehr lesbar ist.2.3 Allgemeine PackmittelspezifikationenDie bereits erwhnte Norm DIN EN 1898 legt Be-zeichnungen fr Bauteile von FIBC fest, d.h. Mantel,Boden, Deckel, Inliner et

31、c. Weiter finden sich Kurz-beschreibungen der Befll- und Entleervorrichtungenwie auch von Handhabungsvorrichtungen (Aufhn-gung bzw. Hebevorrichtung) von FIBC. Da detaillier-tere Festlegungen nicht vorliegen, soll in dieserRichtlinie auf die unterschiedlichen Bauformen vonFIBC in Verbindung mit deren

32、 besonderen Nutzungs-eigenschaften eingegangen werden.Die Bezeichnung Big Bag“ ist kein festgelegter Be-griff aus einer Norm, jedoch in der praktischen An-wendung sicher gelufiger als das Krzel FIBC. Da-mit gemeint ist ein berwiegend rechteckiges oderrundes Packmittel aus den oben genannten Werkstof

33、-fen mit einem nutzbaren Volumen von ca. 0,3 m3biszu 3 m3. Um ausreichende Standfestigkeit des befll-ten FIBC zu erhalten, werden Standflchen von gr-er 0,5 m2bis zu 1 m2bevorzugt. Die Fllhhe kanndabei 2 m berschreiten. Vielfach werden die Kon-fektionsmae so gewhlt, dass befllte FIBC aufPaletten mit

34、Normmaen umgeschlagen und trans-portiert werden knnen.Polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) are stand-ard container materials. Both plastics cannot gener-ally be said to be particularly suitable for use withspecific filling materials. This is rather possible forcombinations of container materials

35、 and containerdesigns when assessing the suitability for specificcontents.Only such flexible materials as have been specified inwriting in the manufacturers specifications may beused for the manufacture of FIBCs. Additives thatmodify the material, e.g. improve its resistance to ul-traviolet rays, re

36、pel insects, or improve its resistanceto ageing, are permissible, however, the tensilestrength of the materials must be established.The UV stability provides information on the loss ofstrength of the material due to the effect of sunlight.For this CEN/ISO testing and quality criteria exist.FIBCs mad

37、e of UV-stabilised container materials canbe stored outdoors over extended periods (up to anaverage of two years) before so much strength hasbeen lost that safe handling is no longer possible.Useful aids include UV indicators which are attachedto the FIBC. For example, a labelled indicator slip in-d

38、icates that the original strength is down to 50 %when the labelling on the slip is no longer legible.2.3 General container specificationsThe above-mentioned standard DIN EN 1898 speci-fies designations for FIBC components, i.e. walls,base, top, inner liner, etc. It also gives brief descrip-tions of

39、the filling and discharging devices, and ofhandling devices (lifting devices) for FIBCs. For lackof more detailed specifications, this guideline willdeal with the various types of FIBCs and their specialapplication features.The designation ”Big Bag“ is not a term specified inany standard, but it is

40、certainly more common inpractical application than the abbreviation FIBC. Itdesignates a mostly rectangular or round containermade of the above-mentioned materials and having auseful volume of approximately 0,3 m3to 3 m3. Basesgreater than 0,5 m2up to 1 m2are preferred to achievesufficient stability

41、 of the FIBC when filled. The levelto which the container is filled may exceed 2 metresin this case. 43、ie die Aus-fhrung der Aufhngung. Da diese Unterscheidungs-kriterien neben den Fllguteigenschaften mageblichfr die Gestaltung eines Fll- oder Entleerprozessessind, erfolgt die weitere Betrachtung dieser Kriterienin Abschnitt 3 vor dem Hintergrund der optimalenAbstimmung von Packmittel und Fllmaschine

44、 aufden Fllprozess unter Bercksichtigung der speziel-len Anforderungen durch das Fllgut und nachfol-gende Umschlag-, Transport- und Lagervorgnge.2.4 PackmittelprfungDie Norm DIN EN 1898 legt genaue Prfanforderun-gen fr FIBC fest. Dies betrifft besonders Wechsel-belastungen in Form von Hebeprfungen u

45、ndKompressions- oder Stapeldruckprfungen. In einereinheitlichen Kennzeichnung werden neben den zu-treffenden Lastdaten auch Angaben zu Einweg- oderMehrwegnutzung, zum Sicherheitsfaktor und zumHersteller gemacht. Darber hinaus soll die Kenn-zeichnung Angaben zu Spezialbehandlung (z.B. anti-statische

46、Ausrstung, Ableitfhigkeit, UV-Schutzetc.) enthalten. Die UV-Widerstandsprfung ist eben-falls im Rahmen der DIN EN 1898 festgeschrieben.2.5 Weitere GropackmittelZur Erweiterung der Palette der Gropackmittel seiendie Packmittel erwhnt, die von der handelsblichenZuordnung des typischen Big Bag“ abweich

47、en.Diese sind zum Teil nicht aus flexiblen PackstoffenIn addition to the rectangular FIBC type, round typeswhich are mainly used as containers for simple fillingprocesses of cement and the like are also available.Essential distinctive features of FIBCs include thefilling and discharging devices and

48、the constructionof the lifting device. Apart from the properties of thecontent, these criteria for distinction are further deci-sive factors for the design of a filling or dischargingprocess. Therefore, Section 3 looks at these criteriafrom the aspect of optimal tailoring of container andfilling mac

49、hine to the filling process, taking into ac-count the special requirements of the content, and ofsubsequent transhipment, transport, and storage pro-cesses.2.4 Container testingThe standard DIN EN 1898 specifies detailed FIBCtesting requirements regarding, in particular, cyclicstresses in the form of lift tests and compression orstacking-pressure tests. A standardised marking com-prises the relevant load data as well as information onsingle-trip o
