22、ctional electric vehicle charging equipment that charge electricvehicles from an electric power system and also include functionality to export power from the electricvehicle to an electric power system. When commanded to do so, the bidirectional charging equipmentexports electric power from the ele

23、ctric vehicle stored energy supply to the electric power system (EPS)to supply power to common loads.1.2 For the purposes of this standard, the term electric vehicle, designated throughout by the initialsEV, is considered to cover electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and plug-in versions of

24、thesevehicles.1.3 For utility-interactive equipment, these requirements are intended to supplement and be used inconjunction with the Standard for Interconnecting Distributed Resources With Electric Power Systems,IEEE 1547, and the Standard for Conformance Test Procedures for Equipment Interconnecti

25、ngDistributed Resources with Electric Power Systems, IEEE 1547.1.1.4 The power export functionality will include enable and disable functions to prevent EPS export forsome locations that are not capable of receiving backfed power.1.5 The products covered by these requirements are intended to be inst

26、alled in accordance with theNational Electrical Code, NFPA 70.1.6 The equipment includes off board and on board equipment. Off-board equipment may be consideredfor indoor use only or indoor/outdoor use. On board equipment is always considered outdoor use. Offboard equipment is intended to be install

43、power outlets, or apparatus installed specifically for thepurpose of transferring energy between the premises wiring and the electric vehicle. This includes all offboard equipment whether unidirectional or bidirectional, and includes power conditioning functions,metering functions, safety functions,
