7、vices that incorporate video cameras and relatedequipment installed at protected properties to form all or part of an electronic security system. Themanaged video service provider employs staff located at a Managed Video Monitoring Station to viewvideo streams, make situation-awareness informed deci
8、sions, interact with people or systems at aprotected property, notify identified parties of events, or other services as detailed in a written agreementbetween the managed video service provider and its subscriber.Facilities housing a managed video monitoring station are designed to provide services
9、 in both normal andsome abnormal conditions. The equipment installed at the protected properties may or may not bemaintained by the managed video service provider.2 Technical RequirementsTechnical requirements for managed video monitoring stations are contained in UL 827, The Standard forCentral Sta
10、tion Services, Eighth Edition, Dated October 29, 2014, Sections. 1 17, except as noted ormodified below.3 Types of Managed Video ServicesA managed video services company may provide one or more of the following services:3.1 Live View Monitoring Service levels are provided without specific requests f
11、or service or the input ofa specific device or person. While there may be generalized time frames during which the services areprovided, there are not detailed, discrete and explicit schedules dictating the specific service providedremotely. Live-View Monitoring is a medium to long-term event, gener
12、ally measured in increments of 15minutes or more, with medium to high complexity levels.3.2 Scheduled Event Monitoring - Services are provided based on schedules. The request for service willtherefore originate at the monitoring center either by automated process or manual selection. ScheduledEvents
13、 are short-term events, generally not exceeding 10 minutes, with low to medium complexity levels.3.3 Triggered Event Monitoring - Services that are provided on demand. The request for service mayoriginate from a device or person. Requests that originate from a device may be a simple binary signal or
14、more complex series of conditions. 15、al ProtectionA monitoring station that is only providing managed video services shall comply with either:4.1 Clauses 7.1 through 7.6 of UL 827, or4.2 Access into and movement throughout the station shall be controlled with layers of complementaryphysical security measures such as an access control s
16、ystem and a video surveillance system that aremonitored in the operating room along with a hold-up system installed at selected places throughout thestation, or the like.5 Power SupplyWhere managed video services are being provided a secondary (standby) supply shall be provided tosupply energy to th
17、e entire load created by the equipment necessary for those services in the event offailure of the primary power supply. The secondary power shall consist of either:5.1 Any of the methods described in 11.5.1 of UL 827, or5.2 A permanently-installed, automatic-starting, engine-driven generator having
18、sufficient capacity topower the load and a UPS with a battery capacity that complies with 6.1.6 Continuity of Power Supply6.1 When the secondary (standby) supply complies with 5.2, rechargeable batteries of sufficient capacityto operate the maximum normal load of the equipment necessary to provide m
19、anaged video services fora minimum of 15 minutes or twice the time needed to transfer to standby power, whichever is greater shallbe provided.7 Communication InfrastructureA monitoring station that is providing managed video services shall comply with Section 12 of UL 827 andthe following:7.1 Where
20、managed video services are being provided the station shall utilize two independent internetservice providers (ISP) for the receipt of video data.7.2 Where managed video services are being provided the data on the amount of unused bandwidth ofthe communication paths entering the station to serve the
21、 equipment used for video services, local areanetworks, or wide area networks that are used in conjunction with video services shall be continuouslymonitored and stored in a manner that allows generation of reports.7.3 A If bandwidth utilization exceeds 80 percent, averaged over a rolling 15 minute
22、interval, an audibleand visual notice shall be annunciated in the operating room and the technical support staff shall benotified. A record of the notice to technical staff shall be stored in a manner that allows generation ofreports.7.4 Reports generated from bandwidth utilization records shall dis
23、play the percentage of bandwidthutilization, in at least 20 percent increments, starting at less than 20 percent and going up.7.5 Dishes or other types of directional antennas that rely on a clear line of site to their source shall beprotected from unintended blockage, misalignment, mechanical damag
