A nonmetallic material usedin the construction of ducting shall not have a flame spread in excess of 1 foot per minute (0.005 m/s).See Vertical Flame Test, Section 1
19、1.5.2 The construction of ducting shall be such that connections are made to blowers or ventilating fittingswith standard clamps or with other means that are equivalent in tightness and strength.PERFORMANCE6 General6.1 All tests are to be conducted with the ducting stretched to its normal length. 20、e normal length of aflexible duct is to be determined by measurement after a 2-foot (610-mm) length of collapsed ducting hasbeen vertically suspended from one end for 24 hours at 25C.7 Air Flow Resistance Test7.1 When tested in accordance with 7.2 7.4, the air resistance of flexible or rigid ducting

The connection at the chamber is toprovide for a smooth air flow path

When the required air flow is attained
24、, the static pressure of the testchamber alone is to be recorded. The resistance per 100 feet (30.5 m) of ducting is to be calculated asfollows:R = (SP1-SP2) (100/L)Where:R = Resistance of the ducting per 100 feet (30.5 m).SP1= Static pressure of test chamber plus the length of ducting.SP2= Static p
