4、12.1.6 If the central station receives signals from monitored alarm systems that are transmittedwith either a packet switched data network or a managed facilities based voice network the station shallutilize two independent internet service providers (ISP) or two independent managed facilities based

5、 voicenetwork (MFVN) providers if available.(Alternative) 12.1.6 If the central station receives signals from monitored alarm systems that aretransmitted with either a packet switched data network or a managed facilities based voice network thestation shall utilize two independent internet service p

6、roviders (ISP) or two independent managed facilitiesbased voice network (MFVN) providers if available communication services that deliver geographicallydiverse signal pathways, if possible by:a) Utilizing two independent internet service providers (ISP) or two independent managedfacilities based voi

11、ODUCTION ORDISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM ULRATIONALE FOR DECISION:The intent of the existing language is to assure (where possible) a measure of diversity in signal pathwayssuch that a single natural or man-made disaster does not impair Central Station functionality. Twoindependent service pr

12、oviders are prescribed to do so.UL has found that an equivalent level of signal pathway diversity can be obtained from sometelecommunication service providers through specialized contract arrangements. The alternate languagefor these paragraphs provides additional compliance options for Central Stat
