However, some product markingsand/or product literature may contain enclosure declarations, including Listees self-declarations, foradditional enclosure ratings that have not been confirmed thr

4、ough investigation by UL. Further, thepresentation of the enclosure rating information could be presented in such a way making it difficult todetermine which enclosure ratings have been certified by UL. The purpose of this TGD is to provideguidance for the application and identification of the UL Li

5、sted enclosure type ratings provided as productmarkings, or in product literature. UL certified enclosure ratings and markings must be clearly separatedfrom any other declared enclosure type ratings, such as NEMA or IPXX enclosure ratings that are eitherself-declared or certified by any organization

6、 other than UL.This TGD does not include the allowance of any Hazardous Location enclosure ratings not evaluated byUL.GUIDANCE:Application Guideline:A. Product MarkingsThe following applies when the UL certified enclosure rating markings and Listees self-declared, or anynon-UL certified enclosure ra

7、tings are marked on the product:1. The UL Listing mark, the UL certified enclosure rating(s) and other information required by the Listing,such as electrical ratings, wiring instructions, cautionary markings, shall be separated from all othermarkings by a circumfluent border where the thickness of t

8、he border line is significantly thicker than thelargest font size used in the text. Further, the border around the UL certified ratings shall not be in contactwith the border surrounding any non-UL certified ratings. The text of the UL certified enclosure markshould appear as follows:Type _ enclosur

10、OTE 2: The Listees name and model number are not required to be included with the UL ratings and information block.NOTE 3: The UL certified enclosure rating mark shall not include the word NEMA.2. When the UL Listing mark is located on a separate label from the UL certified enclosure ratings, the UL

11、certified enclosure rating(s) and other information required by the Listing, such as electrical ratings, wiringinstructions, cautionary markings, shall be separated from all other markings as noted in item 1 aboveexcept the UL certified enclosure mark should appear as follows:Type _ enclosure orEncl

The Listees self-declared, or non-UL certified enclosure rating marking shall not appear within the areaincluding the UL Listed ratings noted in items 1 and 2 above and cannot include the following phrases:UL, UL L

The Listees self - declared (non-UL certified)enclosure rating marking shall not appear within the box containing the UL Listed enclosure ratings.When the e

Authorization was grantedto allow such markings provide they comply with the above guidelines. These guideline
