9、andard.In its IEC-based standards, UL uses the notations indicated below to identify national difference type, andthese types are additionally noted in this document. The standard may not use all types of thesedeviations.D1 - These are deviations which are based on basic safety principles and requir
10、ements, elimination ofwhich would compromise safety for U.S. consumers and users of products.D2 - These are deviations based on safety practices. These are deviations for IEC requirements that maybe acceptable, but adopting the IEC requirements would require considerable retesting or redesign on the
11、manufacturers part.DC - These are deviations based on the component standards and will not be deleted until a particularcomponent standard is harmonized with the IEC component standard.DE - These are deviations based on editorial comments or corrections.DR - These are deviations based on the nationa
12、l regulatory requirements.Each national difference contains a description of what the national difference entails. Typically one of thefollowing words is used to explain how the text of the national difference is to be applied to the base IECtext:Addition / Add - An addition entails adding a complet
13、e new numbered clause, subclause, table,figure, or annex. Addition is not meant to include adding select words to the base IEC text.Deletion / Delete - A deletion entails complete deletion of an entire numbered clause, subclause,table, figure, or annex without any replacement text.Modification / Mod

16、ive component standards.5.3DV D2 Modify Clause 5.3 and all subclauses as follows:DC rated relay coils shall operate in accordance with Class 1 limits, and AC rated relaycoils shall operate in accordance with Class 2 limits.5.8DV D2 Modify Clause 5.8 b) by adding the following:See also Annex D for de

The data of 3g, 4a through4e, 5a, 5d, and 5i through 5k does not apply.7.1DV.2 Relays with pressure wire connectors (screw terminals) for field wiring shall bemarked to show a range of values or a nominal value of tightening torque in Nm (lb-in) tobe

22、lowable temperature rise for the elevatedambient shall be calculated as follows:TR=TT-TM- 40Cwhere:TR= Allowable temperature rise;TT= Maximum temperature rise allowed by Table 8DV.1; andTM= Elevated ambient temperature specified for the equipment.8.1DV.3 For relays rated below 40C, the allowable tem
